K&N Engine Air Filter: Increase Power & Acceleration, Washable, Premium, Replacement Car Air Filter: Compatible with 1997-2003 MERCEDES BENZ (CLK430, CLK55 AMG, E55 AMG, C43 AMG), 33-2183

For my 1999 C230 Kompressor, Must have, better performance and some say fuel efficiency so i will look into it. With my 4 cylinder supercharged engine, i can't say this product is not an upgrade that under performs you Mercedes-Benz. Also bought this for my 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG V8 M113 Engine.

I recently purchased a 2001 Mercedes CLK 430 with only 51,000 miles on it. I was sometimes getting as many as 18 miles per gallon in town. Turned out the original filters were still installed. They were OEM Mercedes Benz filters that were dirty and needed to be replaced. I replaced them with K & N Filters and immediately the gas milage jumped up to 22 miles per gallon in town.Replacement filters similar to OEM from Oreilly were $22.00 each, I did not price OEM Mercedes Benz filters. The K & N filters from this particular vendor were $41.00 each. If I am getting 23% better fuel economy in a car that must burn premium fuel I expect these filters to pay for themselves in less than two months!!They have an almost unlimited warranty, they can be cleaned periodically rather than replaced, they breath better than the originals and they seal in the filter body better than the originals.I will never use anything but a K & N on anything I own.

I didn’t buy an AMG V8 engine to worry about mpg but smg smiles per gallon . Dropped 2 K&N and I get a bigger smile.

Description is FALSE. Says it fits clk 55 AMG but it doesnt fit..... very misleading

The filter works not better than a normal filter, my car doesn't need less gas. I wouldn't by it again.

It increse the accelerating nice filters

My MPG increased by 4 on the highway when I replaced my dirty paper filterson my 2001 Mercedes CLK430. I gave it a four instead of a 5 because the price is a bit steep considering what it is. Spectra makes a comparable filter and it's alot cheaper. I would have went with it but they don't make one that fits my CLK. I'd check and see if they make one for your car before buying a K & N.
