Avid Cable Boot Kit BB7, 11.5311.621.000

I've been using Avid's mechanical discs since day one, and I still have my original circa 2000 Avid BBDB calipers, corroded pad retention magnets an all (before they were renamed BB7). Good thing Avid / SRAM supports these with spare parts such as these rubber boots, red knobs, and different sized mounting brackets.If I could, I'd buy a bag of 10 of the smaller piece, the cable scraper, since it is thinner and sees more action than the larger boot.Another review mentioned the "metal piece" inside of the boot. This is the housing end ferrule, and isn't supplied with the brake. If the ferrule isn't crimped on (I don't crimp mine), it often comes detached from the housing and stays lodged in the boot. It's normally no problem to poke this out and re-install it on the housing.

I received the first boot set and one of the boots were ripped. I was able to send it back and get it replaced without any issues. I would have given the product a five rating if not for the first mishap. But the seller did step up and make it right, and as timely as possible. So lets say a 4, but could have easily been a five!

Just what I needed for the cracked boots on my Pugsly. Looks good as new.

It's what it's says it is. $5 is a little steep for two little rubber boots, but I guess it's a bike part so it should be overly expensive.

Straight forward and as advertised. These replace the boots on BB7 brake calipers. Probably not the most important part, but if you are going to overhaul them why not do it right?

An item extremely difficult to find, only possible in this store. It came in perfect condition, a few days later than expected, but it was because they didn't have it in stock, and for this problem the communication was totally correct.I recommend this seller.

AVIDのディスクブレーキのケーブルについているゴムキャップがぼろぼろになったので交換用に買いました。前後の2つのディスクブレーキ用に2つです。交換はディスク側のケーブルを止めているネジを緩めて、ケーブルを抜き、このCABLE BOOTをはめて、またケーブルをネジで止めるでした。難しいところや微妙な調整が必要なところはまったくなく簡単でした。初め自転車屋に頼んだら、部品が分からないとかなんとか言われ、このCABLE BOOTがなくても大丈夫ですよと、体よく断られたので、自分で交換できて良かったです。交換に必要なのはプラスドライバーが一本です。あとプライヤー（ペンチ）があれば、十分です。おすすめ。
