Once you figure out the wire colors, it’s great
-Decent quality--it feels pretty solid, metal parts. The wire bundle sheath feels a bit cheap.-Wire diagram is not accurate--different colored wires on the unit I received.-Be prepared to troubleshoot-After actually getting it installed correctly, I like it.-it’s only rated for 10amps, so, if you go over that, yeah it’s gonna melt

Don’t waste your time
Spent the time to wire it all up, followed the diagram from Amazon. Wow it’s wrong, followed to wiring diagram that came with it, mostly correct. Instructions specifically say do not worry if right blinker doesn’t work. Because it won’t. Once it’s all wired together it just won’t work. Why? Because it doesn’t work from the factory. Won’t ohm out; left will-right won’t. Ontop of that the product is very clearly not design to last or work. Don’t bother with this, do not waste your time. You’re better off making your own switchesUpdate: took the blinker switch apart and put a longer spring from a pen inside it so the contacts would touch and the problem was fixed, but still too much hassle, if the wiring harness was correct and the switch was fine it would be a good product

Has a split mount instead of slide on! Very nice.
Easily mounted with a split clamp design, not slide on design. Also has an 8mm threaded mount. I removed the mirror and mirror mount then screwed the mirror into this mount and it looks totally stock. It's not plastic. It's aluminum and built well with one exception, it isn't waterproof. I'll be careful about spraying with water when washing. I don't think rain will be much of a problem. Splash from water crossings may cause issues. I may reopen the mount and use silicon sealant to better protect from water. Minor problem that is easily taken care of.

Double check the wire color codes with a meter before hook-up
Got this to replace my deteriorated worn-out switch on my '73 BMW R60/5 motorcycle. Unit workmanship and quality is better than I expected and when wired up switch worked perfectly. Two things to watch for, wire schematic is not correct, the switch wire color codes are wrong and the wire gage is too small in my opinion for incandescent lights and direct horn hook-up. I use a multi-meter to identify which wire goes to which switch and that the switch works Ok and I did not have a problem, good practice with all wiring projects. You should also have your bikes wiring diagram and crimp terminals/tools, etc. for a hook-up. I added relays to activate horn, lights, turn-signals and they now work better than when the bike was new.

Thin wires, half-baked waterproofing.
Normally with bicycle stuff I like to give it a couple weeks before I start writing reviews unless I'm just absolutely amazed by what I find but the other reviews citing fire hazards and other factors have prompted a quick response on my part.Looks like this was, in true "Feiteplus" style, designed well, then completely and utterly bungled on the actual execution. This is NOT waterproof, and it looks like it's using 18AWG wire for the entire thing. Now, the thing this is getting installed on is a 48VDC LED-based low-amperage system so I'm not expecting the entire thing to go down in flames. However, the fact that this is has no gasket on the two joining halves of the aluminum nor the place where the cables actually enter and exit the part deeply concern me, despite the descriptions and an image inside the actual product files showing it clearly as being water resistant. It's the only thing on this site that's got the form factor I need, so I'm willing to try it, but it looks like the assembler crunched all the wires up completely when they assembled and shipped it. Guess if it fries my ride I'll update this review.

Cheap GARBAGE
For absolute beginners the wiring diagram is incorrect. Blue and red are flipped. Secondly, while loosely tightening onto my bars the lower tab broke clean off. While removing the switch the bolt stripped out as it is cheap metal. 4mm for size btw. While trying to extract the screw to be able to run it for a while the housing gave away while LIGHTLY tapping the screw with a hammer. You get what you pay for I guess. For finals and honestly the least of my concerns the wire is EXTREMELY thin.

Pretty good quality for price
Looks nicer in person than it does in these photos. More sturdy than I thought it'd be. Good quality for the price. Nice minimal, compact design.
