I have noticed people saying the buckle is not secure or does not latch, So far this collar has not came apart. I originally got this collar for one of my dogs, instead I gave it to my mother who just got a puppy. I thought it looked so cute on her dog, "Oscar". She did not seem to mind it on his neck. It did not seem to heavy nor did it irritate his neck. When my my took him out for a walk the collar seemed to stay on, even when he was pulling. I picked the small and brown collar, Oscar is a black and brown dachshund, I thought he looked so cute in this genuine leather brown collar. Fits my corgi pup well, and looks so handsome on him! :)Definately real leather, and metal, but not super heavy. Soft too, like suede. A lot better than his old torn up nylon collar! This one looks like it will hold up for a longer while!I saw some comments on the clasp. We must've got lucky, this is a good strong one!My only minor complaint is that the red color is slightly purple. Doesn't appear that way in photos though, and still is very charming on our lil guy.Thanks so much!Update A Month Later- Still holding up! We even attach the leash to the collar. The color of the collar does run, and dye his fur pinkish though. Pics to show.Want to take away 2-3 stars for the unwanted dye job.

It seems like high quality from what I can tell so far. I wouldn't exactly consider this to be comfortable like the title claims due to the leather being kind of stiff. If the leather was softer then I'd call it comfortable but to my dog, I'm sure he couldn't care less. I'll update later on how it's held up. If I don't update, then everything is still holding up.2/16/18UPDATE: After my dog wore this for a little while, the leather loosened up and it is now what I would say "somewhat comfortable"Changing my score from 4 stars, to 5 stars. The ONLY other thing I've noticed with these, is that the color of the metal pieces isn't consistent from piece to piece. The loop that you connect the leash to is a different color then the rest of the metal pieces which kind of makes it look cheap...but again, since my dog wears it and not me, I'd say that it's just fine, but I felt like I should point this out.I'll update again with how it's held up in a few months.

The clasp got stuck. It’s beautiful and well maid. It looks durable and sturdy amd the hardware isn’t flimsy. HOWEVER, when I got it I decided to clip it closed to se how well the clasp worked. Thank goodness I did. It would still be on my pup today. I take off his collar when baring him. I wouldn’t be able to do that. Idk if is was too tight or loose but it didn’t matter how hard I squeezed only one side would go through. I still haven’t been able to separate it. I may have to use pliers. I gave it 2 stars because of the material. If the clasp worked I would have given it 5.

I honestly was expecting a cheaper material than actual leather just based on this price. It adjusts well to the neck of my dog and smells of leather whenever I pet her. Apparently I’m one of the few people who want a quick release leather collar because it seems like all I was able to find for several days of searching were the buckle types. This worked out wonderfully. My dog had been wearing a nylon collar that caused a terrible smell and horrible irritation for her, and after a week, no complaints or itching. She seems happy, which makes me happy.

Quality of the product is good, however, the weight of the clasp overpowers the weight of the name tag and license. this means that his name tag is constantly, awkwardly on the side of his neck rather than directly below his mouth. I love the color, the quality and the thickness of this product, but it's not nearly as functional and very annoying to have to keep adjusting it every few seconds.I ordered a small and I have a 15 lbs morkie. He could have probably fit a smaller size with less option to extend the collar. My current one has too much excess material for extending.

Really liked this collar for a little over 4 months, 4 months of sporadic use. This has never been a daily use collar. We use a harness for walking with leash. The blue leather is beautiful, and it “appears” well made, but the closure broke where the ends snap together. Seems like a common problem, if one reads reviews. As can be seen, my photo looks nearly identical to others. It could have been scary for someone who may use this with a leash. Can’t recommend this product.

Great price, great quality, beautiful colors, both the leather and the metal hardware. Got these for 3 dogs, 2 still using the blue and light red (looked kind of salmon-ish which worked out beautufully on the white fur) more than 2 years later with the dogs wearing them all day everyday and only taken off for baths. The dogs are not irritated by these at all and they look gorgeous. On the 3rd dog, the collar is put on and taken off for every walk so it’s more wear on the hardware which eventually got kind of loose and we bought another one recently. The metal buckle looks gorgeous and was very easy to work with considering putting them on and off several times a day. Overall, amazing price considering how long they are lasting. Because they’re made of leather, 2 years later they still look great!
