I am a dark skinned woman and my hair is semi curly, will they look nice or just look extremely fake?

The hair is very pretty and it looks natural. I agreed with Gail it may just work.

can you straighten them ??

I have not, there is really not a lot of hair on these, but it is just to add a splash of color so it works. you have to pull some of your natural hair over the top of the part that fits around your head, so it blends in - then I would guess you could pull it back in a pony tail, however keep in mind the part that stretches over your head, so a very "high" pony may not work...
