Book is great
Both books deal with the phantasy bond. A lot of insight into human nature. Recommended by my therapist.

A Book that challenges you. Are you prepared?
This book was profoundly enlightening. It urges one to search deep within and understand the underlying causes of behaviors and actions. I won't classify this book as a self help because such title carries a connotation that I don't think will do justice to the reviewing of this book. I learned to embrace reality and let go of fantasy even if the former is a lot more painful than the latter. For embracing reality makes you vulnerable to pain but pain that you will eventually habituate to because of exposure. Whereas clinging to fantasy gives way to more pain. The author clearly is one who is conscious of social values, traditions and custom and how it affects human conditions. He emphasize that we remain our true selves even when face with social pressure

Very good read
I have been reading alot of Dr. R. Firestone and Dr. Joyce Catlett's works. This book was an excellent read. Helping me to peel away some destructive defenses I've had for a long time. I appreciate your information and sharing

Wow
This book simply tells the truth. What could be better? Firestone is honest, genuine and speaks to therapists as well as patients. Wish I could find someone who practices this way.
