A game changer - if you ride with one other person, don't hesistate - they are worth EVERY PENNY!
I bought these for me and my wife while we are out cycling and they are absolutely superb - a total game changer for us and make going out for a ride a LOT more enjoyable by removing the frustration of trying to communicate while we're riding. They are full duplex and communication is open all of the time so there's no vox delay and it's just like talking on the phone. They fit onto your helmet straps and are not intrusive and don't block you hearing other stuff around you. Be aware though that these ones only connect between two units - not more than that.I've not used these for phone calls or music but they do that as well. They don't seem to be affected much by wind noise - certainly going downhill fairly fast doesn't stop them working perfectly well. They have a range of around 200 meters realistically which is plenty for what we require. If you go out of range then they do reconnect automatically when you get back in range. The volume is perfectly adequate and even though I'm a little hard of hearing, I don't have them turned up anywhere near full. They charge with a USB C charger and if there was any criticism I could add it would only be that the microphone protection metal mesh gets squished a bit after a few uses but it has no functional effect and you can't see it.

Make a big difference to a bike ride
Bought two - fitted them to my and my son’s helmets. Was awkward on his Specialized helmet due to the placement of the straps but still managed to install it without conflicting with sunglasses- which are always a necessity while riding due to bugs etc. Pairing with phone and with each other very easy if you follow instructions. Paired both with Sena apps too on IPhones to check for firmware upgrade. Sound quality acceptable (not great) but wind noise requires you to run them at a fairly high volume. They appear to keep sound on continuously even when nobody is speaking - wonder about battery life but we have been ok for up to 3 hour rides. Intercom drops if you do not maintain line of sight with each other. Happy with them and they help us ride together and chat while doing so - and safely. Used to have Cardo/Terrano BK-1 units which failed so can compare.

Superb when cycling with a companion.
These are a game changer when you are cycling with a companion. A little tricky to get synchronised after you switch. The comms is clear and the battery life is ok. Don’t even realise they are in your cycle helmet. Therefor comfort is superb.

Very neat and practical yet powerful headsets
In recent years my wife and I have become keen tandemists (is that a word?).now the thing with husband and wife tandemists is that they either both love it or it’s grounds for divorce. There is not a lot of middle ground! And the biggest problem that arises is communication. It is essential on a tandem that both the pilot, the one at the front, and the stoker, the one with the view of the one in front, are most definitely on the same page when navigating through the busy roads of today. If one stops pedalling for instance, it can lead to the other being launched skywards when the expected pedal does not go downwards. Also if one decides to wave in a friendly manner at the passer by shouting ‘she’s not pedalling in the back’. This is an unwritten rule when ever you see a tandem by the way. It causes we tandemists no end of laughter at this witty repose every hundred yards on our quiet day out.Where was I? Oh yes, communication. We purchased a set of the subject Sena Pi headsets on the recommendation of a fellow tandemists and we have not been disappointed. The speech is clear and distinct and the wind reduction works well. They work well over a considerable distance as well, very useful when the pilot, ie me, is sent in for ice cream while the boss guards the machine outside. It causes much amusement to those around as I mumble through all the available options, apparently talking to myself but does save me from the ignominious failure of buying the incorrect flavour for how my lady is feeling on the day in question. The headphones are very light, neat and unobtrusive and fit on the helmet straps. On the occasions we have cycled rather than ridden the tandem the range has proved more than adequate for clear communication.

Difficult to connect to other SENA headsets then it died with a week
Avoid this and other SENA headsets - I had an SPH10-10 that failed too. The firmware updates and support from SENA are terrible. SENA help via email is in German - they do say if you are writing in English they will reply as soon as they can. 2 weeks later a reply but fobbing me off to Amazon who couldnt replace the SPH10-10 even though it was within warranty. I now have very expensive earplugs. I did get a refund for this PI, but the whole experience with trying to get quick support from SENA has been very frustrating. By the way, it is not seamless connecting the PI to the SPH10-10 - even when they were working. Just because they are SENA doesn't mean they easily recognize each other. Buyer beware.
