The outside case of the oem one cracked and eventually broke. The circuit board was still good, so I bought this and put the already working board in it and viola, saved a lot of money.

If your existing fob(s) are malfunctioning it could be because the contact discs inside the old fob are loose and causing the fob to either not work or work erratically. Forget the dealer reprogramming or locksmith. They will cost hundreds of dollars. Buy this and simply take the circuit board out of old fob(s) and exchange into new fob. (You'll probably note the contact discs between the buttons and circuit board in old fob are loose) Also exchange the key(s) and voila fixed! The fob comes apart easily as that is how you would normally replace battery. The tiny circuit board pops out easily too, just be gentle.

Both my key fobs had the same problem. When you press a button on the fob it presses a small metal disc down to connect spots on the fob circuit board. The problem is the disc's come loose from the rubber buttons on the face. All I needed to do was put my circuit board in the new enclosure and fixed like new. No programming required. Just wish I could have got the enclosure alone without the circuit board for less money. I must assume this is the problem most the time.

Good value, Local hardware store programed for $40, they could only get one to work. But still worth it.

Old key was worn out, buttons not working. bought this item, switched just the electronic board, worked great. The outer shell has the buttons which wear out over time, the new shell has new buttons. Saved a lot of money on reprogramming the new key, took about 2 minutes to change the inside electronics.

These programmed fine on our 2013 dodge grand caravan. However, as we were walking in a store I accidentally dropped it as I was attempting to put it in my pocket. When we came out to the van and tried to start it.. nothing. “Bad key” flashed on the dashboard. I took it apart and checked the inside. Nothing was broken. The battery was firmly in place. Tried again, nothing. Totally broken after one drop. I had to call my father in law to pick me up and take me home to grab the spare. Very disappointing

Super excited about these key fobs. Got them professionally programmed and they were great until they stopped working after 2 months of use. Now I'm back to where I started and out the $30 for these plus the $100 to program them. I emailed the company looking for some kind of help or troubleshooting but they didn't respond. Pretty disappointed when this...will not buy again.
