The coffee is exactly the notes described. The one thing I'll say is that compared to grand Lavazza it isn't as bold or a strong. It almost feels like I didn't have a double shot of espresso and does not give me the jitters. It's not a bad bean, but it's definitely not as bold as other beans I've had from lavazza. Since the prices had of control on gran Lavazza. I decided to give this a try. It's not bad. It's just different. It still has great taste and isn't very acidic and the grind number on my Breville barista express is set to five for anybody using that machine.

Love, love, love Lavazza Whole Bean Coffee Blend. The coffee quality is by far the best I’ve had at its price point. When I have guest visit, and I fix coffee, people will usually ask what type of coffee do I use because the coffee is amazing and so fresh. If you are looking for great coffee, at a reasonably price, Lavazza is your best bet.

Literally the best morning cup of coffee! I enjoy my coffee with no additives (milk, cream, or sugar) and this roast is smooth, mellow, with a wonderful node of fruit & cinnamon. This coffee provides a fantastic start to my day!

My son worked as a barista at our local $tarbucks for two years. He is 25 this next month and still lives at home....though attending college...so he has a temporary reprieve from being shoved out of the nest. He works 'occasionally' and does not contribute what we feel is an adequate amount towards living here... so I have taken advantage of his 'professional' training as a barista as part of the trade off of his still living here. HOW NICE TO HAVE MY OWN PRIVATE BARISTA ! :) I was looking for COFFEE SYRUP, made from coffee to use in coffee based beverages and in other cooking. In the past, I have made my own home-made flavored liquers so knew we could come up with our own COFFEE flavored syrup (just without the alcohol which can be added at any time). A rich and bold espresso is ideal for the flavoring, and this whole bean LAVAZZA Top Class ESPRESSO fit the bill perfectly! My son coarsely grinds the beans and brews at a high coffee to water ratio, strains and adds to simple syrup of sugar and water that we cook various lengths of time depending on how thick (and caramelized) we want the syrup. SUCCESS and, though it may be hard to believe that a simple syrup made at home can taste 'fresh' compared to commercially bottled, THIS really does! COFFEE NIRVANA :) We made ours thick enough, that, it is like a thick (more boiled down) maple syrup and was heavenly when added to a frappe AND then, drizzled over the whipped cream we placed on top of the frappe. So, I highly recommended the LAVAZZA Espresso 'espressly' for this purpose. Also good ground for my Biallita stovetop Moka coffee brewer and other methods of brewing.

After going through about ten different expresso roasts for use in my Breville Barista Express, I found this coffee to offer the right balance and complexity I sought in an espresso. It brews a nice standalone double shot and also holds up well when I prefer cappuccino. For what it's worth off-topic, I use Costco's H/H for cappuccinos and the grind will need to be dialed in to your machine and extraction preference. Seicento and Lavazza Gran Reserva are also very good alternatives, but IMO this tops both for overall consistency, flavor profile and low acidicy.

Our household (husband and I are big coffee drinkers!) typically buys the Lavazza Super Crema (which we now have on a subscription) for our DeLonghi Eletta Explore, but wanted to try something new. We tried the Lavazza Crema e Aroma, but wasn't as impressed, felt like the Super Crema was much better. Next up for a taste test was this one, the Top Class, and it did not disappoint! We loved the hint of chocolate (we do not taste the cinnamon, which was preferrable as we are not big fans of it). My husband drinks it as americano, I love it as a flat white/iced cappuccino. So good! This will be another one placed on subscription. For our super automatic machine, we avoid dark (therefore oily) roasts so I just look for medium roast - and we do not like fruity, floral, or acidic coffee, so this was a winner. Wish the roast date was sooner, but honestly, the price for this 2.2 lb bag overrides that con - we go through too much coffee a month, and this is value for money (and still tastes good). Highly recommend the Lavazza Super Crema and the Top Class!

Great tasting coffee beans for espresso. Beans are relatively fresh but could be fresher of course. Extremely fast ship times and better than most other lavazza coffee I've tried including their super crema. I'd recommend these beans for espresso only as it's the only style of coffee I drink.
