Cuts like butter
I got these to cut down some foam sheets for a project I was working on. The element heats up quickly and cuts through the foam like butter. I also tried it on some plastic. It eventually cut through, but took more effort. The main problem with these is that you will never get straight cuts. It's impossible to hold your hand steady enough while cutting to maintain a straight line unless you're a robot. You'll cut easily and more cleanly than with a razor blade, but you won't have any precision. It's not any fault of the product, though. I haven't tried all of the attachments and I'd be intimidated to try and restring the wire.

Nice foam, cutting kit easy to use worked perfectly
cute little foam cutter. I've never used one before and this worked perfect. It was fun to use and took only minutes to cut out for chair pads for my dining room table. I recommend it.

Great!
This is my 1st foam cutter. It was very easy to use and has an adjustable knob to increase the output for thicker foam. I was able to make really precise cuts with this device. Cutting foam isn't super fast process and I had to make myself go slow and let the machine do the work. Very happy with the results.

Great tool to carve on Styrofoam
This is a great tool. I love carving for my Christmas train village and this tool has been so handy to carve Styrofoam into various landscapes designs - mountains, steps etc. I love this product. It comes with different carving tools. The material is durable and absolutely worth the money. Its light weight and easy to use.

You get what you pay for
Couldn't even finish one small project. Wanted to redo the small 8x12-in case I use when I fly with a pistol and a couple mags, the 5 cm wand stopped working after one cut and the 10 cm wand stopped working after the second cut. The entire voltage regulator stopped working shortly after that when trying to use the curved wand. Ended up having to finish the project with a blade. Of course it's well outside the return. By the time I used it. Strongly do not recommend this product.

It's O.K.
I started a project with the short straight heating rod and it lasted just 3 "cuts" and then quit. I had to finish the project with the long straight rod. I took the short rod apart looking for loose wires but they all looked good. It just refused to work. I don't know about the other parts, loop rod and long wire. They heat up but I don't know how long they will last before failing.
