Is this a newer version of the hat? I bought one at universal but It definitely does not have other languages and I don’t think it does 15 phrases?

I actually bought these hats from Target. They were from this past Christmas Season if that helps. I’m not sure how old your current hat is but these are fairly new from what U I know.

How to I get the hat to just speak English?

Hi Brittany, You will need to move the switch that is located below the battery box from the 1st position, to the 4th position. The 4th position is the English setting. We hope this helps!

Can you hear the motor that moves the hat when the hat talks?

Yes you can hear the motor, but my kids didn’t mind it. They thought the hat was pretty cool.
