Yes, my packaging WAS CLEAR. And the sea moss did absolutely gel, even though this is only my first time making it. Follow a few simple instructions to make it into a gel. 1.) take a SMALL AMOUNT, place in a bowl, and wash thoroughly 2.) Let it sit in water for between 4 to 24 hours... I did about 24 hours, and I changed the water about every six hours or so. 3.) Sea moss is now much lighter in color, has a slippery feel, and has expanded substantially. 4.) Place sea moss in a blender, add just enough water to ALMOST cover the sea moss, and blend for about a minute. That's all I did, and it came out of the blender as an off-white colored gel. I put about two tablespoons of the gel into my vegetable drink, stirred it with the spoon (it mixed EXTREMELY WELL - no lumps or clumps), and drank it. The gel itself has almost no taste whatsoever. Again, this was my first time using this product and making it into a gel, and it came out GREAT. Excellent product, I will DEFINITELY BUY THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Irish moss was a childhood drink before it was marketed as a superfood. Buying it since then has been confusing and stressful. This is the 3rd brand I’ve bought and I am delighted with it. Dry w occasional bits of possibly other sea weed and blue netting, delicious taste I have no doubt this is the real deal. I’m sticking w this one !

I loved the first batch I got. The bag was huge and full. The moss was a dark color and dried. I ordered more when it got low. The new batch came in a different bag. I saw that the company mentioned that the packaging was different but that was fine. What was different was the moss itself. A completely different color and texture. See the pics. The batch is a light color and very soft. It doesn’t expand like the dried one. I’m a little confused as to why. I haven’t tried the new batch yet so I’ll give an update after I make and use it8/11/21 Update: Ok so ive used the new batch. I dont feel the same effect as i did with the first one. I wont be buying it again. I want the first dark colored dry one they sent before. I dont even understand why its TOTALLY different. I emailed them and got no response.8/28/2021. Still no response from the company. I’m disappointed9/23/21. Ok so I think the 2nd bad review wasn’t warranted. After careful review I see that they offer two different kinds of sea moss. They dry kind and I guess the softer kind as I pictured. So I reordered it and clicked on the dry one and I got what I wanted. It’s a huge bag for a great price. I’m very satisfied. I just wish they would’ve responded to my email so I would’ve known better.

Got this and the package was absolutely stuffed with sea moss. When I opened it, it smelled just like international sea water. That water can sometimes have a smell similar to salty pool water so I can understand why some people think its smells of chlorine. Anyway, day one I soaked it in TAP WATER and it did absolutely NOTHING except make the water murky & sandy. At this point it was still hard and dry. Day two, I poured tap water out and soaked it in PURIFIED WATER for 24 hours. It almost completely broke down except for a few of the bigger pieces. The water was slimy and slightly thicker. From there I blended. The pics are my finished product. I will buy again!

I love this product, to thicken up my raw food recipes, besides getting the good nutrients. I have made it both ways, by either rinsing several times, and blending, or soaking it overnight, which plumped it up better, and blending. I've use 1/4 of the bag and I keep it in a jar in my fridge. You can also freeze it and take out what you need, and put it back in the freezer. You can find great recipes from Markus and Cara at the healthy life. It does not smell bad to me, only like the ocean, and it's gritty when you wash it, so I prefer to soak overnight.

I’ve been making sea moss gel for years now and I have never come across a moss this bitter. I started putting the gel in my espresso about a year ago now; the gel would balance out the acidity and make the coffee frothy with no sea moss taste at all… that is not true for this brand. Even in straight black espresso, the sea moss taste is unbearable. I would not recommend this product.

I ordered this sea moss NOT knowing that it had been boiled. I was expecting raw dried sea moss. A little disappointed. . . but tried it anyway. I washed it, very little sand or salt. I changed the water three times, even though it was nice and clean. Soaked over night then put into blender. My gel came out great. I used as a face mask for dry skin and saw difference after first use. I added to soup (Ramen) and also to eggs before frying. Tasteless! So except for the fact that it was boiled, I really can’t complain. I do, however, believe that boiling kills the minerals. I’ve watched several YouTube videos and know that many people, even Dr. Sebi boils. I prefer mine not boiled.

I am truly happy with this product, I received my first order in late February, being new i only bought one bag. But this time i took two and I wish it was 4 because they are sold out, But let me say this the package is nice and the Sea moss smells like the ocean, there is a small amount of sand and salt, so it feels like you're getting that morning sea mist. As with any product that is coming directly from nature it has to be cleaned, I enjoyed the effort and it made me feel like I was apart of the process. As for the benefits, I had been suffering from eczema, and allergies and a few other after 40 things. This product gives you a boost, I hope it comes back soon its truly worth the effort and the price.
