Already used it on duck.
I enjoy the size of bird and trout knives, not many companies are still making a true bird and trout knife and this one is simple and well made. Has slightly softer 440 steel than I'd like but it's okay.

Small but good quality
A very small fixed blade perfect for tackle box and it excels as a bird and trout knife. Very pleased and was razor sharp out of the box. Nice letter opener too!

nice knife for the money
nice knife for the money, as with all ruff rider knives. good quality, a bit smaller than I was expecting, and I was expecting a smaller fixed blade knife lol. still useable,the blade is a practical size but the handle is a bit on the small size for man. I don't have the largest hands in world either. I could see this being the perfect fixed blade knife for a smaller woman, or maybe a first fixed blade/hunting knife for a child/young teen, etc.

It doesn't have the quality look and feel of a Case, but this knife is surprisingly good quality. It is very small, but for light work, it performs quite well. Well worth the price paid. The sheath is serviceable but doesn't fit the knife well. The knife will slip out even with the snap fastened. This would not be the only knife I would carry into the woods, but because it is so small and lightweight, I imagine that I will always take it along.
