This is a nice terrarium but I was hoping for one with a door that would close (this one was defective) and smaller gaps all around as I intended to use this for a jumping spider. I recently bought a similar one and thought this was it but it wasn't. Overall this would be good if you don't need the door to securely close and you're using it for plants.

Got this to build an enclosed terrarium.... But the door has a quarter inch gap on top. I understand its not supposed to be sealed weather proof tight... But the size of this gap basically makes this useless for my project.Also the craftsmanship is not the greatest. 👎🏻

Terrarium is well made. The metal and glass fit together well and the little door swings smoothly. It’s a lovely piece and will look nice with some succulents or other small low maintenance, low moisture plant. It doesn’t look watertight so I would not add plants that require significant moisture as the terrarium might leak and the glass might fog up.

I love this little terrarium! I purchased it for an air plant that I struggle to keep humid enough and this is perfect! It is a perfect size and has the cutest unique shape! I always get nervous ordering glass things from amazon but the item was packaged very well and arrived in one piece.

They’re not meant to be waterproof. It isn’t a fish tank. It’s a miniature green house so don’t use a watering can - use a gentle mist device. I’ve been dying to make my own little moss garden from scratch so I could have a little bit of nature on my desk in the office. I researched what kind of foundation, light, heat, humidity, and plants would be optimal. It’s a happy and thriving terrarium - with no mold or infestation of bugs - if you get plants from a reputable seller / farm. Just do your research and don’t flippantly throw a bunch of garbage in a delicate decorative casing with dreams of Instagram fame. Put in a few minutes of work and find what’s best for you, it’s worth your time!
