Thos is well built and easy to assemble. Color of the wood is nice. I didnt realize there was no bottom to the planters, but theyre large enough to just place a large planter inside. I just added a bunch of large rocks to the planter for drainage and then the rest with soil. Easy to move. The bench sits nicely on each planter and alcan be lifterld off easily. I might screw my bench in so its not detachable.

I purchased two of these benches, not really expecting much, but hopeful that the reviews were honest.When they arrived today, I immediately opened the first box, expecting a mess of parts and hard-to-understand directions. To my great surprise, you basically put together 2 boxes with a few screws, set the bench atop the boxes (no further attaching system needed) and you're done. It's not a stretch to say that assembly can be done in half an hour. I partnered up, and it made the process a breeze. The only thing I'm still unclear about is which way the bench is supposed to sit. There are two directions that it can attach to the planters, either with the bench resting on the narrower space, making the seat higher, but without gaps between the bench and the back, top edge of the planter; or with the bench resting on the wider space, which leaves a gap between the bench and the back, top edge of the planter, which makes the seat a smidge lower. It's probably personal preference, but we'll try it both ways and see which works best.Time will tell how well these hold up, but at about $76 at the time of this review (I paid $71 on prime day), I don't think I could build these for cheaper, and they're very cute. They feel sturdy when sitting on them, but as others have mentioned, they really only comfortably seat one person. They CAN fit 2, provided you're reasonably narrow-hipped, you don't mind touching each other while seated and you don't intend to sprawl at all. Probably great for a couple small children to sit with each other. Others have also mentioned that the planters don't have bottoms. That's correct. I wouldn't want to plant directly in these anyway, so get a couple decorative potted plants, put a box or an overturned pot inside the bottom of each planter, and set your decorative pots atop those. Easy peasy.I'll be keeping an eye out for the price to drop again (I know, what's $5 though...) so I can purchase one more of these for my backyard to flank my pergola, as another user did. Buy these! The value for the dollar is definitely there and you just can't beat the price and ease of assembly.

This is an excellent product! Easy to put together, simply secure the bolts included. Beautiful wood, nice weight to it, not light or flimsy. We look forward to Spring and putting our bench/planter outside near our entry! A great value. Paid 2x the price for a composite planter last year that the squirrels gnawed hole in and ruined. (We knew when ordering, and it was what we wanted but the planter boxes are "bottomless".

We purchased 2 of these benchs and were surprised they were shipped USPS. My poor 60 year old Postal lady couldn't begin to lift one of these. The box says 'Team Lift' for a reason. We had to drive 25 mins to town and pick them up ourselves at the Post Office. After getting home we were very pleased how quickly they went together, how sturdy they are, and look very good. Unfortunately both kits had an issue where the foam packing was apparently still wet and cemented to a panel. Both boxes had one panel in this condition requiring careful razor scraping and light sanding to remove it. If not for the packing issue and losing an hour to get these home, which should have been delivered by a box carrier, I would have given 5 stars.

I was not expecting this bench to be of this quality. It is really strong and made well . Only one small flaw in the wood. Nothing I could not deal with. Goes together like a dream. I made some changes to the planter and added cement patio stones to create end tables for drinks and painted it white. Looks great.Would order again.

Wow! It’s REALLY nice!! Sturdy. Just got it so don’t know how it’s going to hold up but it’s a great bench for the money. I was afraid the seat would be so narrow, I’d be sitting in the plants but not at all. It’s absolutely wide enough for two.

I’m actually very impressed with the quality of this product. My bench came neatly and nicely packaged, took less than 10 minutes to put together by myself with a clingy toddler attached to me.One thing to note, there is no bottom to the planters so be prepared to buy inserts, I went to our local DG got some planters and then put a brick under each planter to bring some height to them.The staining was even and well done, it had no gross chemical smell.It is absolutely stunning and I am beyond satisfied with my purchase. I’ve already been recommending to friends and family.
