LOCK & LOCK Rectangular Food Container, Tall, 9.6-Cup, 78-Fluid Ounces

I was looking for some airtight containers to store some valuables in, and I thought I would take a gamble on these Lock & Lock Food containers. Since there are no model numbers for any of the containers, the ones I bought are listed as 2.3L/2.4Qt/78Oz on their label. Amazon also lists them as 9.6 cup (78 oz = 9.75 cup, if you want to be precise. The product description lists the dimensions as 9.1"(L) x 6.5"(W) x 3.7"(H), but I was sure these are the external dimensions. What about the internal dimensions? For my application I wanted something that could store an item that is 3.0" high. Would it fit? I just received the containers, and I must say I am very impressed with them. The plastic itself resembles a clear, tough nylon. Exceptional quality, particularly the hinged lid. The hinges look to me like they will last forever and do NOT require a great deal of hand strength to either open or close. I was worried that because they were so easy to open and close that they might not be truly airtight. So is it airtight? I added a couple of cups of water to the container, snapped on the lid, turned the container sideways, then rotated it in 90 degree increments to test the seal. Perfect! Not a hint of leakage. It is indeed leakproof, and based on my rigorous test, presumably airtight, too! Finally, what about the interior dimensions? Molded plastic items like this always have a small taper to them to let them come off of the mold when they are manufactured; if they used perfect right angles, the containers would never easily come off of the molds. I got out my steel ruler and eyeballed the dimensions at the bottom of the container, where the interior dimensions are smallest. Just based on an eyeball measurement, I would say that the interior dimensions are at least 8.0"(L) x 5.5"(W) x 3.25" (H). Absolutely perfect for my needs! For those who worry about such things, there is a small "made in Vietnam" sticker on the bottom that is easily peeled off. All in all, I rate the Lock & Lock containers to be first rate. As the saying goes, you get a lot of bang for your buck. I don't see how anyone can dislike them. When I want containers in the future, I will unquestionably select Lock & Lock!

There is nothing I hate more than having to throw away food, especially with everything being more expensive these days. This container is perfect for the lettuce I like and keeps it perfectly fresh for well over a week. I buy a loose, leafy lettuce similar to Romaine so it fits in the container just right. All I do is put a paper towel or paper napkin under and over the lettuce to help absorb moisture. I've also used the container for leftover casserole and vegetables. I am very, very happy with my purchase.

I bought my first Lock & Lock container earlier in the year because I was looking for a decent size container that would fit a LOT of flour since I bake on a daily basis almost. This is the second time I bought the identical container because it is exactly what I needed, I can fit 2 standard flour packs in there and it keeps the flour dry, clean and safe. If I had to complain about one thing is that sometimes its frustrating to close all the clips but either than that this in an amazing container very sturdy, easy to clean and high quality. I would definitely recommend it and buy it again.

Perfect container for my lunch salads; I needed something that I could tip without anything leaking out in my bag and this fit the bill. Lock & Lock is great for keeping liquids where they belong, in the container. I own a couple of sets of L&L but this size will come in very handy.

Size is subjective but for me this is perfect. I don't have a lot of extra storage space in my kitchen and with this container being rectangular it stores easily and holds a lot of food. The silicone seal and latching technology is simple but 100% effective. One other important thing is that the container is clear so I can see inside without having to open it. Do yourself a favor and don't procrastinate. Once you pull the plug and buy it you will realize just how much you needed it.

Great replacement to Rubbermaid containers.

Die Frischhaltedosen haben die erwartete Qualität und ich werde noch mehr davon in Zukunft kaufen. Sie sie sind luftdicht und erfüllen ihren Zweck. Man kann sie gut aufeinander stapeln, die Spülmaschine ist kein Problem und sie haben die perfekte Größe für Käsescheiben. Ein sehr gutes, stabiles und praktisches Produkt.

Received a damaged product. The lid lock of the container is broken at one end.

Bought a few boxes(mainly for keeping green leafy veggies fresh) just because of the brand name. That indeed is enough to buy their products without any second thought. But the product is dismal in its performance. After deep disappointment and even doubting the products themselves, did a comparision regularly by keeping the things openly in fridge and by wrapping them in paper towel, after removing all the moisture, and then storing in these boxes to keep in fridge. The latter did increase the life of veggies by a day maximum - not always though. Is that enough for the performance. Certainly NO(do the math of loss you would incur for losing out on those not-so-expensive green leafy veggies(even organic ones) and the cost of these boxes). To be clear I then also tested the boxes with other things such as cookies, snacks. But to mo avail. Had bought a few of these(different shapes and sizes) but none of it was of no comparision to even the first copy lock-fit boxes we get in local market. To be honest, I actually found no difference - neither in build quality nor in performance. I am a hard-core brand conscious person, who is always willing to stretch to get/have that out of reach/costly/assured experience, but this experience did definitely jitter that thought of mine. Would think twice especially when it comes to food/health category. I had also bought Amazon brand’s boxes, those did give satisfactory performance. Their lesser cost was the factor in forming this impression? Well may be. Nonetheless, they did also have a better build quality for sure. Not suspecting other good reviews here but just wanted to share mine simple and honest one.
