These tap shoes fit true to my street size. I originally went to a dance shoe store & they had these half a size bigger & half a size smaller than my normal street shoe size of 8 &1/2. I found them on Amazon & ordered 8 &1/2 - fit perfectly. I've been using them for about 2 weeks now almost every day. They're holding up really well, no complaints on the taps or the build. I find that after about a half hour the tongue starts to move over & then she shoe starts to feel a little loose. Wondering if that's the socks I'm using - very thin. I do use black socks because the 1st time I used white socks & some of the coloring bled onto my sock with the sweat. I've never tapped before & I've been loving it!

I ordered every tap shoe Amazon sells under $150 and Capezio Cadence was the most comfortable.

I only just received these, but, I love them already. A great fit and so comfortable. These run true to size for both length and width. Can't wait to begin using them.

Uneven and frayed bias cuts? Damaged leather? Scuffs on metal and leather? For the price point not worth it and likely not new.

I ordered a 7.5, which is my true-to-size shoe size, and it fit wonderfully--not too tight or too loose. These shoes are so comfy. I'm a beginning/intermediate tapper, and right out of the box, I wanted to do a few little shuffles. I wear these through intermediate/advanced tap class which is about an hour each week, and for practice from time to time, and these shoes always stay laced, don't slip, and keep my feet sturdy so I can focus on the steps and not on "is my shoe going to twist my ankle???" I would definitely recommend these high-quality tappers for just about anyone who is looking for an oxford-style tap shoe.

I'm an intermediate tapper and initially ordered tap shoes that were twice the cost. The shoes were very heavy and though they fit well in the toe, my heels slipped out of the back while dancing. It was certainly not worth the price to have to "retrofit" tap shoes with moleskin, etc., so I returned them and purchased the Capezio Cadence. Such an improvement! Not only were they half the cost of the first pair, they fit like a dream and are much lighter in weight, though the tap sounds are loud and clear. I wear a size 8 1/2-9 and ordered these in a 9.

This is my daughters second pair and she loves the comfort and fit of these tap shoes!! Her only complaint is that the screws that hold the taps work loose from time to time and have to be tightened. So, she keeps a small screw driver in her dance bag.

I sized up due to everyone's review and was sorry I did and will be sending this back to order correct size. Ordered these and the Bloch flex sole which also ran true to size for me. Bloch were very comfortable right from the box but I really don't care for the flex sole so will try to resell and order these. Tap round was about the same on both of these shoes

I’ve previously had Capezio tap shoes and gone up half a size from my normal day shoes (I’m normally a 3.5 and go up to a size 4 - US size 6). However when I received these shoes in a US size 6 they were too snug at the toe. I’ve now gone up another half size to a US 6.5 and these are the best fit and I will keep them. I also have a wide foot and these shoes have really soft leather that will slightly stretch with wear as they are a medium width. There are a number of Capezio Cadence shoes on Amazon, but these are the only ones with free returns - don’t let the US sizing put you off - just add 2 whole sizes to the UK size.

These tap shoes are so much more comfortable than my previous ones, which were a different make and style. The uppers are leather and the insoles are cushioned so they are well worth the extra cost, in my opinion. I take a shoe size 5.5 wide fitting and bought a size 6 tap shoe. They fit well. The laces could do with being slightly longer but that's not a big problem.

I'm a size 5 went for 6.5. Slightly wider fit than the xtreme and slightly higher heel. Comfortable and a nice sound.
