works to bring the fever down
my daughter had a febrile seizure when she was 3, so we are big on fever reducing medicine. before she had the seizure, she had a fever, and i thought i would let her body fight off the infection so left the fever alone. now, we never wait to medicate. we had always given her tylenol and even though it wasn't really good at bringing the fever down, we just didn't think much of it. when we took her to the ER, the doctors gave motrin/advil right away (both ibuprofen). i had no idea that kids bodies responded differently to ibuprofen and acetaminophen (tylenol). my daughter clearly responded to the ibuprofen much better. for stubborn fevers, you can also alternate advil and tylenol - taking one or the other every 3 hours. so, 12:00-tylenol, 3:00-advil, 6:00-tylenol, 9:00-advil, 12:00-tylenol, etc. make sure you check with your doctor first, though.it also tastes great - my daughter always asks if she can have more :)i also appreciate that it hasn't gotten recalled several times like tylenol has.

Ok but it is sugary and contains dyes
This does the trick. But I'm not a fan of the surgariness and the dyes. I have found that Walmart makes a dye-free version.

Great Tasting Children's Advil
Like other children, my child balks at taking medicine. I have tried almost every flavor of Ibuprofen and liquid Tylenol on the market with my child to find the flavor he will take without fussing. I was very thankful when I found the grape flavored Advil because he likes the taste. It's sweet without being syrupy. I tried generic grape Ibuprofen, but my child did not like the taste. I try to keep children's grape flavored Advil on hand.Advil is highly recommended by our doctor. It not only lowers the fever, but it helps with the body aches too. I do give Advil and Tylenol according to the directions from our doctor.

Product meets description
This is what I expected it to be. Bought for my son. Would have gotten five stars if it were cheaper!

I'm loving it
My absolute go to when alternative medicine fails to break a fever over time. I can almost 100% guarantee that Ibuprofen will work. I've only used Advil brand and will never shy from it. I'm all stocked up for this cold and winter season.
