A nice startup tool
I almost didn’t order this because of the “poor” ratings. However, I decided to give it a try. First, let me address the “smell” many have complained about. First of all, ALL heating systems that are new will have a smell, furthermore, they will continue to have a heat smell. Is it bad? Not at all. Also, I found that my cup press smelled stronger, I immediately recognized the smell from my days of working in manufacturing. There were some bits of styrofoam from the packing that was behind the heating element. Now, I would give this a full 5 stars, IF, it had came with better instructions and at least a simple heat guide with some suggested settings. Luckily, I have a little bit of experience using heat presses at an industrial level. With that said, research settings for heat presses and your material before using, make sure to check your settings and it’s best if you’re unsure to start low and slow until you find the best setting, for me, I found pressing shirts (100% cotton) worked best at around 375° F for about 20 seconds. You may find different results. As for the heat loss mentioned by some. That is not uncommon. Even for large professional grade units, you have to take into consideration the ambient temperature around the unit and the fact that it will cool down. Once it is heated, apply a little heat for about 5-10 seconds to your product BEFORE applying the iron on/sublimation. To heat the surface, then allow to cool for a few seconds.I hope this helps someone else make their mind up! I just wish they would’ve offered a heat guide,

No manual makes it hard to learn
The heat press itself seems nice, although you REALLY need to mount it or it will tip over as soon as you swing out the top of the press. I’ve pressed a few tees and it seems to work nicely. Even pressure and heat…However. I’ve been trying to figure out all the attachments and find it frustrating that you have to take it apart to switch out to the small press attachments. Not very good if you wanna go between the flat and the mug presses frequently. If I had of known that I wouldn’t have bought it. I swear It said tumbler press but it’s just for mugs. The fact that this has no manual…… makes zero sense… like why? My digital scale came with more directions and it’s super easy even without it. So why no manual? Just some super short videos that don’t show you how to out it together. I bought this for my business and probably wouldn’t buy another if the opportunity presented itselfMy first box was missing the bottom plate altogether and I had to request a replacement. Amazon did accommodate but I didn’t have my press when I needed it because of this. The mug attachments are scraped…. Like really scraped. Overall it’s not horrible but I definitely would not buy again. Trying to contact the manufacturer is impossible from what I can see and no help online. The video people keep referring to is for a different brand heat press and is not really helpful. If I could return this… I would. I would probably go with a clamshell instead.

Wish it was built better because the value is there
The product is good in some aspects. A lot of attachments for all types of heat press project and instructions weren’t that bad.The badPress is tilted down so that it might touch the clothing before you want it too.Might tip if you put left or right with the 15 x15 attachment on.Product seems poorly designed for example the bottom has no stopped to make sure the piece the clothing is on is lined up or the piece might slide when using. The pressure crank is ok but no instructions really on that so you’ll have to test.Every attachment is held up by 2 screws even the 15x15 piece and it’s an awful design since it not allow for the best stability or ease of access. All in all I would pass on this product because of the design, tilting, and it not being sturdy

Better than expected.
After reading some of the other reviews, I was a little concerned. But, it was simple to put together and so easy to use. The scratches that other people refer to on the white part of thr accessories, that white part IS the protective film. Just peel it off. The instructions are very basic, but they are definitely enough. No part of it has excessive oil, all things should be cleaned before use, anyway. It is very easy to switch accessories. Mine came with suction cup feet to help keep it from tipping when the tshirt press is rotated away. I am really happy with mine and have zero complaints with any part of it.The only 'issue' is that it is missing two of the thumb screws for the accessories. I can't find a way to contact the seller to buy or replace two more or find any on Amazon. Hopefully, they will see this and contact me.EDIT: After leaving my review, they messaged me very promptly and did a wonderful job of helping me figure out what the screws were and even offered to pay for the replacement. I would definitely recommend this press, from this seller.

Works like it should
I have had this product for about 9 or 10 months and have never had any issues with it. Now the lady that broke hers after 10 months of light use, ease up on the pressure to much pressure it will eventually break, I mean wouldn't you lol! But yes follow the instructions that your vinyl or sublimation or whatever says to do and lighten up on that pressure and it'll never fail you. Well until it for reals craps out anyways. But I love mine, and if you follow instructions you will to!!
