This worked well connecting pvc to metal pipe using a brass nut. No leaks, first try.

They fit
It's not easy to find washers to fit the tubular piping to a "flush ell" toilet anymore. These looked a little warped but they did the trick. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the high markup on the price.
