Invaluable travelling accessory
I use these items a lot when travelling. These three are my current ones, and this review is about the long silver device (the second photo). All these three promise USB 3, which has recently been rebadged as USB 3.1. The price of these items varies with promotions and this item is currently £13, the middle one £35 and the lower one (no longer available) was £15 in 2019. There are two advantages of the more recent items: the HDMI link and the through-hub power connection (using PD, not QC). This particular device does not reliably transfer power to an iPad (pro) but transfers power three times quicker than the green one to Android devices. The green one is much better with an iPad (but not "quick") and also has a more reliable HDMI connector. Note that this device also has a USB-C connector in addition to the PD power connector. However, only one of the USB-A ports is 3.1 Gen1 . The green device sports three USB-A 3.1Gen1 which are labelled USB 3.0 on the actual device. However they do all work at Gen 1 speed. For travelling purposes, this device currently represents the best compromise between cost and features, unless you are using it with an iPad or a Smart TV.

A Perfect USB C HUB
This review is for USB C HUB, Docking Station, 11-in-1 USB C Adapter with 4K-HDMI, VGA, USB 3.0 port, Type C PD, RJ45 Ethernet, SD / TF Card Reader, 3.5mm AUX, Compatible with MacBook Pro / Air , More Type C Devices This hub is definitely one for a more professional user, probably most likely a business user who needs all the additional ports as part of their job! On the hub you get access to an aux port, standard usb sockets, ethernet, TF/SD and usb c and HDMI port. It literally pact with multiple of each port you may need! Works a treat, plug and play with no installs requires and no issues with lag even at full capacity It can connect a mouse and keyboard, and supports various forms of mobile data storage including flash drives, SSDs and portable hard drives. It will support external hard drives too. There are some comparable USB-C expansion hubs that permit transfers between the SD and TF readers as each has its own control chip As of now this solves my problems perfectly. all the ports i've tried on it (USB and HDMI) have worked with no problems. I don't normally review this early after getting a device. And This device feels very sturdy and built of high-quality materials. The base of the device seems to be an aluminum chassis To sum up, this USB C docking station is appropriate for everyday use. Hope you find this review helpful in searching for an ideal USB C docking station.

Great device - Highly recommended.
Due to the USB limitations on my laptop, I bought this to give me the extra USB ports. After connecting my headset to the USB after a few minutes I get static on the line and need to unplug the headset and then reconnect. This is a constant issue. I didn't know how to contact the seller to request a new device. This is why I have only rated 2 stars. -------------------------------------------------------- I got a reply from the seller quickly and was offered a new docking station FoC. Very pleased with the quick response. USB Docking station is highly recommended. Don't need anything big. This small device is a great item and does everything you need. This is why I've changed to 5 stars review

Scammed, trash, doesn't work
No combination or order of ports, cables or anything makes this trash work or do anything, just gives unsafe warnings, driver errors and doesn't deliver power for more than 1 second

Jack of all trades master of none. Quality or Speed = No.
It's a dongle. It's not a High-quality one, but all the bits work somewhat. I tested this thoroughly to see if it would be my daily driver. I only wanted this as it had USB-C and USB-C power passthrough and for the versatility of all the ports. I mainly use the HDMI Output. The SD Card reader is CRAP and tops out at 10 MB/s for me. Shocking, I know. But it "works" if you are fine with slower read speeds. The USB inputs all worked for me. Ethernet is CRAP. It maxes out at 100 Mbps and doesn't even reach 1000 Mbps. You cannot use the HDMI out + the VGA out simultaneously. The HDMI out is also Buggy. Depending on the display, it doesn't work at all. i.e. my Gaming 1440p 144hz monitor does not like at all whatsoever. I think it tops out at 1440p 60hz. Even though it works with the 1440p 60hz, it doesn't always pick it up. One workaround I found is that you can plug your USB-C power through the dongle, which has enough juice to pass through HDMI to my display. I have never had to do this with any other Dongles for HDMI, only this one. It's a Jack of all trades, master of none; he tries to do too many things but does them at a reduced performance. I wouldn't use all the ports on it at once. I can't trust it won't blow up my Laptop if I use every single input simultaneously. It probably won't even be recognized with the amount of power it sucks up without plugging your USB-C power into it. The only redeeming factor is that it's cheap. It gets you maybe 30% of the way there, but if you want better performance or are looking for quality. This is not it.

Decent value.
I use it as a Windows laptop, Chromebook, and Samsung Dex docking station and it works well. Only criticism is the usb c cable that connects the station to the device is really short. If you have a laptop on a stand for example, it isn't long enough for the station to sit on the desk, or if you use different laptops with the usb c ports on different sides, you have to move the station (and other wires you've connected to it) when you change devices.
