Q: is it hand held or just table use only

It can be hand held but the slides may not come out as smoothly.

Q: My 2 by 2 slides don't fit in this why? Even measured the slot and it's not 2 inches. Any problems anyone else?

We have 2X2 35 mm slides from my husband’s tour in the late 60’s. No problem. Sorry you’re having a problem. Was great to show our family.

Q: Can this view old 2x2 glass slides?

I would say no. I've used the viewer for hundreds of cardboard mount slides, which appear to be slightly smaller than 2x2. They work but barely fit. I just cut out a piece of cardboard 2x2 and tried it. It won't slide into the viewer. Plus the glass slides are probably thicker than the cardboard slides. So, although I don't have a glass slide to try, my best guess is it will be too wide and too thick to work.

Q: Is this made in China?

I do not know for a fact. I purchased this viewer for an elderly lady who needed to go through a large amount of slides. Made in China? That's a pretty good guess.
