Pretty good replacement, not without slight flaws
Overall, this is a good replacement for the OEM apple cushions. Right off the bat, you'll notice that the foam used is close, but not quite as good as the OEM foam. There's a softness to the OEM that is missing from this foam, but for what it's worth I wouldn't call that a deal breaker. You're going to DEFINITELY notice a loss of noise cancellation, I'd say the noise cancellation is somewhere in the 75% range compared to OEM. I tested with one side using OEM and the other using this relpacement, and you can definitely hear a difference in ambient noise creeping through in a quiet room with something like a small fan going. Still, unless you're an audiophile, you might not care too much if you're paying ~50% of the OEM replacement price. If you're an audiophile, you probably don't have these headphones anyway so YMMV if noise cancellation is crucial to use. The other thing I'm still testing out is the condensation buildup. If you're not aware, the OEM pads WILL cause condensation to build up inside the earcups since the seal is so tight, check your earcups after prolonged use or if you're using these with damp, long hair. You'll be surprised if you've never done that before.Other than those two issues (noise cancelling, foam material), the fit is right on the money, the magnets hold just fine, and there isn't really that same chemical stank you get when you first opened the OEM cushions. If these used a thicker foam I'd call this a 5-star replacement. But bang for your buck, it's a worthy pickup for your headphones

I wanted to love these Replacement memory foam pads but I can't!
I am a technologist and have produced albums that you can download. I am not an audio engeererr but as a technologist I love to figure out whys.... These pads are almost great; but have an acute failure which comes down to a slight difference in size between Apple brand and Jarmor brand. The apple pads are slightly thinner and that seems to make a huge difference in noise cancellation. The thinner / softer pads means the headphones are higher against your head. I bought my new pads and old ones with me on a plane flight. The Jarmor pads were noisier on the plane and I started to try to figure out what was different with the apple pads... it turns out its thickness. If you hold the headphones with more force against your ears you get the apple experience, but without force, the new apple jarmor pads decrease your noise cancellation and need to be slightly altered to work. The materials are good and the magnets are weaker than apples but work. For the price, I did not expect perfection but to have the noise cancellation take such a hit is a shame and with a little alteration of this product it will work great. I will return this product. A shame because it was close to a home run!!!

Excellent product.
I think these are fantastic. Better fit around the ear the the OEM pads. The OEM pads may be a denser foam which perhaps provide a better sound proofing, I'm still not convinced of that however. But that denser foam pad of the OEM version cause more sweating/condensation and are a tighter fit on the head as well as do not allow my ears to fit inside of the padding but instead are pressed against my head by the OEM pads. I much prefer these third party pads. They look identical to the OEM version but are lighter weight thean the original ear cups. Excellent product.

A comfortable and decent replacement
Received and tested it for about two weeks now. As the other reviewers pointed out, the noise cancellation is not as good as the OEM (~85% per my estimation). The pads are comfortable to wear, and no any issues to wear it for a couple of hours. Overall, it’s a decent replacement considering the affordable price.
