Lee Precision Powder Funnel

Perfect, had to replace the old powder funnel due to my original one bought in 1983 got broken.

The right price

The Lee funnel has a few features which turn out to be important, compared to some other funnels I have owned subject to static electricity, a pain in the neck.- The shoulder inside the bottom of the Lee funnel neck works for anything between .223 cal. REM and .45 cal. ACP. But when pouring powder for .223 cal. REM, be sure the funnel and casing are vertical. Otherwise a small amount powder gets trapped alongside the casing and falls when you remove the funnel.- I don't know about .17 cal. or .50 cal. BMG.- The capacity of the funnel is more than enough for any powder load that I have in that caliber range. I don't know about .17 cal. or .50 cal. BMG.- The outer shape is such that it will not roll off a workbench.- The hole is handy for hanging it on a peg or hook.- Finally, and most important, this funnel does not create static electricity when dry gunpowder in cold weather is poured in. For some funnels I have owned, powder would cling to the inside of the funnel from static electricity, a real annoyance. One of these funnels was manufactured by H______ and I e-mailed them to complain. Their answer was "rub it inside with an antistatic cloth such as you place in the drier with your clothing." I tried that, but the stuff is slightly sticky, so powder clings to that as well. Nice. Won't buy another H______ funnel.

If loading individuals shells, most shells fit inside the bottom and the powder all makes it into the shell.If loading from the top of the press while using a lee pistol flaring die, it fits in the top of the die and all the powder makes it into the shell.I have even reloaded a few 410 shotshells and used this to get all the powder into the shell.One of the best "under ten dollar" purchases I have made.

Very helpful when reloading

The negative reviews here contain a lot of complaints about static, and powder sticking to the funnel. Basically, powders tend to stick to bare metals and plastics. However, after a bit of use, the graphite in the powders will coat the surface of your pan or funnel and the powder no longer sticks. If you are having an issue with this, you probably just need to use it more. Try pouring the powder from your powder thrower through the funnel to get it back in to the factory powder storage container. Just doing this once should be enough to keep powder from sticking.Okay, now on to the actual product review. I bought this because it is cheap, had lot of good reviews, and claimed to work for the calibers I load. Problem is, it doesn't work for all the calibers I load. The hole is too big to reasonably work for a 223 casing. Otherwise, it works fantastic for larger casings. I use this to pour powder back in to a case after I quality control check the charge weight every so often. Despite the 3 star review, it works great for that. I just can't give it a higher rating when it won't work for a VERY COMMON caliber (223), even though it is printed on the actual funnel that it works for 22 to 45 caliber cases.

It dose what it was made to so & it fits nicely in my powder through case expanding die from lee which is why I bought this & it seems to be well made for a piece of plastic recommended

It's a funnel. Doesn't fit in most case necks though, so I bought smaller ones that work better. The others aren't as durable but they don't really need to be.

The colour of this funnel could be a little more bland ,but it does what it should and does it well.!!!
