A little difficult with books, but you can't beat the price for these features
I'm very happy with the scanner for the price, but the software is a little difficult to use at times. Professional scanners are usually much more expensive, so this does the job without breaking the bank, but it does require a little more manual editing sometimes and it takes some getting used to. It's great for scanning flat images, but books can be a little challenging. I like that it takes high quality images and supports OCR. It has different settings for color, export file types, and works pretty well at eliminating the curve on scanned books.

Surprising quality and ease
The quality and ease of using this product was surprising. I frequently scan newspaper articles, and they rarely fit on a flatbed scanner. Thus, I had to use Photoshop to stitch together 2-3 scans of the articles, which took considerable time. This scanner will handle A2 size paper, which is big enough to capture all major newspapers (e.g. Wall Street Journal), is easy and fast to use, and delivers crisp clear optics. It even has its own source of lighting. Excellent buy, and I rarely take the time time to rate products.

I was pleasantly surprised
I was searching for something to replace my old 11x17 flatbed scanner that is no longer supported. I had my doubts when ordering this product, but I was pleasantly surprised. You have to be very careful about making sure you have good, even lighting, and you have to be careful about aligning the sheets consistently, but the results are quite acceptable. This would be a good product for someone trying to scan large maps.I am going to buy a plexiglass sheet to hold the papers flat, but that's the only change I'd make.

Scanning is Cool, Editing takes a lot of time
Most of these Book Scanners love to boast about how fast their scanner can scan a book, but it is not how fast the scanner can scan, it is the editing in the app that takes most of the time. Scanning a page per second means nothing if it takes 15 to 20 seconds to edit each page. Most images come out skewed and need to be edited in the app, which is time consuming when you have 200-400 page books to scan and convert to PDF format. It have taken me over 1 hour to scan and complete a 300 page bookThe app also constantly freeze and shut down when using curve editing instead of straight line editing, which takes more time. And when you go to export the scan into a book, some of the pages turn diagonally.Scan quality come out good once edited, occasionally an scan will be blurred. Overall I give it a 3 Stars. it gets the job done, but it is not great as others.

Great compact, easy to use, cost effective scanner!
Had been searching for a while for a high end, but affordable scanner for my 16 x 20 paintings. I have attached one of the scans. Beautiful. The light on the scanner is best used with no additional lights in the background. You get the best scan.

The resolution is awful
I bought this to scan vintage catalogs and the resolution is really terrible. In addition the arm has a tendency to fall just a bit and it takes things out of square. The most annoying thing is there is no catalog or owner’s manual to tell you how to adjust the brightness saturation.etc. There is a place to do that but no clue how to make it work. There is also several resolution adjustments but with trial and error I am still not getting it. I have thrown away the packaging otherwise I works return this turkey

Handles large size texts
It seems to work although installing and functioning took some time. Advice from help desk did not help much and the user guide is limited.
