Nice recipe book for cast iron Dutch Oven and pots and pans.

Looks like a good guide, with interesting recipes. Especially nice is the chart with the number of coals/pan size/anticipated cooking temperature. The one additional bit of information that would be helpful is the pot size recipes are designed for. Maybe it’s in there, I haven’t found it.

Very cool book

Just got this book. It's smaller about 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" square and about a 1/2" thick. Just leafing thru it quick the first 40 pages sort of describe Dutch oven cooking, has tips, tricks and hacks and also has a section on how to clean it and on seasoning it for new users. Explains number of charcoal briquettes to achieve certain temps. In addition to the regular index at the back of the book there is a recipe index for quick reference that looks like it will be nice when trying to find something specific. A quick guesstimate is there are around 80 recipes and some of the book chapters include breakfast; chili's, soups & stews; mains; sides & snacks; breads & rolls; and everyone's favorites... desserts. Also a quick conversion guide for US to metric measurements (eg. 1/3C = 79ml or 1/4C=4fl oz -60ml) I'm looking forward to looking thru the book and seeing what additional nuggets of info I might glean and also finding a few new recipes to try on our next camp out or backyard fire.

What a fun addition to our campsite cooking. It even tells how many coals to place under and on top of the lid. We will have fun trying these recipes.

Some good information and recipes. But nothing spectacular. Great for a beginner though as it has all of the information to use a dutch oven with coals. That information is worth the purchase.

This book takes the guess work out of cast iron cooking on a fire. It's traditional outdoor camp cooking with modern recipes. It even tells you how many coals to use. Perfect.

Make sure you understand what 16x16cm represent, because it's barely larger than a pocketbook. Received with both front and back covers already damaged.
