i was fully prepared for this to be another fancy powder that looks gorgeous on the vanity but does absolutely nothing on my face. instead i tapped the tiniest bit onto my skin and immediately understood why people speak about this one in reverent tones, like it’s a relic from a secret order of makeup monks. the texture is ridiculous. so lightweight it practically levitates off the puff, and once it hits the skin it does that soft blur thing that makes you question whether you accidentally stepped into portrait mode. the soft glow finish with that little iridescent pearl is exactly the line between radiant and greasy. no glitter, no moonbeam disco ball nonsense, just a quiet, believable light that makes you look well slept even when you absolutely are not. shine control is good in that smug double wear way where it pretends it isn’t doing much but suddenly your t-zone behaves like it has manners. i have dry skin in winter and it didn’t cling to anything or make me look like a chalk fossil, which feels like witchcraft. it sets makeup without locking your face into a medieval helmet. and the compact… look. estée lauder absolutely knew what they were doing. it’s sleek and curved like something you’d take out during a gala to powder your nose in the reflection of a crystal chandelier, even if you’re actually in your kitchen standing under a too-bright bulb hoping your eyeliner is even. longwear wise, it holds everything in place for hours without going patchy or making my base look older than i am. no breakouts either, which is rare for anything that touches my pores for more than thirty seconds.

I finally found the powder I’ve been looking for. Exceptionally lightweight, flattering, non-settling, softly glowing. It’s a bit pricey, but you don’t need a lot at a time. After 55 years of experimenting with cosmetic trends, I’ve learned that if your foundation and powder are wrong, there’s no point in bothering with makeup at all. Best powder ever; will use sparingly and will definitely reorder. Side note: this powder puts the “baked” types to shame. Thanks Estée Lauder and Amazon!

Love love this loose powder. Translucent and soft and airy. Doesn't look like you have powder on. Looks glowingly finished. Highly recommend....much better than pressed powder compacts.

Love it!! Great finishing. I even use it without foundation. It removes the oiliness of my skin. I am addicted to it!!! Just perfect for everyday use. It also helps with foundation fixation and finishing. Just love it!!! It is light, smell nice, great for any skin color and the container looks fancy and high quality. It comes with a little pad for application which I also loved. Stopped using by make-up brush as their pad is better to apply and helps with the fixation. Highly recommend it!
