Very good qwuality compared to the version streamed online by various streaming services
The reports of these being DVD R are either not accuate or they recieved these from a pirate. Mine arrived on actual pressed DVDs, with 720p quality. There is some blurriness as the originals were probably filmed in 480i and then enlarged a little, but like i said Quality is very good compared to what can be streamed to your computer, laptop or TV, especially Season 2 which the streams are all still interlaced resulting in extremely bad quality streams as 480i strreamed throuh a 4K tv causes massive intelace artifacts which makes most scenes with a lot of motion unwatchable.Very happy with purchase arrived a day early and in excelent shape. My only Compaint would have to be the case. I serverly dislike these cases that the manufacturers use for DVDs and BluRays with multiple disks, surely they could have come up with something better than these case with Disks c;ipped onto bothsides of some sort of page system. these often break or pop out of the case when you remove a disk from one. But it seems all manufacturers use these crappy cases.

This release is a terrific value buy for Sheena fans.
This six disc set contains over 27 hours of content featuring the character Sheena, the queen of the jungle, portrayed by three different actresses. On the first disc is director John Guillermin’s 1984 feature film Sheena: Queen of the Jungle, starring Tanya Roberts, along with five episodes from the 1955 TV series Sheena, featuring Irish McCalla. The remaining five discs are devoted to the syndicated TV series Sheena (2000-02), with Gena Lee Nolin in the lead role for a total of 35 episodes. After finding success on television in Charlie’s Angels, and Mike Hammer, Tanya Roberts had transitioned to feature films like The BeastMaster (1982) , and in 1984 was nearing the peak of her popularity. Roberts’ shapely physique was appropriate to the role (except for naturally blonde hair), and she brings a sense of innocence to the character, in this action-based feature, with good production values.Previously known for her appearances on Baywatch and The Price is Right, Gena Lee Nolin is another suitable choice to play Sheena. Teamed with fellow ex-Baywatcher John Allen Nelson, the pair work quite well together. The challenge of coming up with interesting stories set in the African jungle, is met pretty well, as the writing is better than you might expect. Some special effects reflect budgetary limitations, but overall the program has good production values, and delivers solid action most of the time.Generally, image quality is a little soft with a distinct lack of sharpness. This could be due to the quality of the original source material, and also because up to eight episodes are jammed on a single disc. As the series continues, the level of violence seems to increase and become more severe, as Sheena has no reservations about spilling blood in a variety of ways. There is also a strong supernatural element, as Sheena can physically transform and assume the shape and size of an animal that she sees. And she can also transform into a feline creature with superhuman strength. This set provided many hours of escapist adventure at a rather nominal price. I previously had an interest in checking out the 2000 Sheena series, which is available on DVD-R, but the prices were just too high. Perhaps the image quality of the individual season releases is better, but knowing now what this series is about, paying so much more would not have been worth it. For those with any interest, be advised that the Season One release has 22 episodes, while the second season has only 13 episodes. The 1955 series with Irish McCalla is also available on DVD. I have not seen any of those releases, but the image quality of the episodes in this set is quite flat and lacks sharpness. One nice surprise was an appearance by John Banner, who would later play Sergeant Schultz in Hogan’s Heroes. While it was informative seeing how the Sheena was first portrayed on TV, I will probably not be investigating this series any further.

R.I.P. Tanya Roberts
This is a 6 disc set and I’m here to breakdown what you’re getting. Disc 1: The 1984 film starring Tanya Roberts, plus 5 episodes of the 1955 series starring Irish McCalla (those are Touch of Death, The Rival Queen, The Leopard Man, The Renegades, and The Sacred River). Disc 2: Season 1 episodes 1-8 of the 2000-2002 series starring Gena Lee Nolin. Disc 3: Season 1 episode 9-15. Disc 4: Season 1 episodes 16-22. Disc 5: Season 2 episodes 1-6. Disc 6: Season 2 episodes 7-13. All together that’s the complete 2000-2002 series. As for video quality, it’s not awful, but it’s not fantastic. It’s fine. It’s perfectly watchable, but it would be nice if at least the movie was more clear looking. Either way, this is a great set. The artwork is nice, and the price for what you’re getting is insanely good. Highly recommend if you’re already a fan or wanting to check it out for the first time. My only complaints are the video quality not being as good as it should be and that it doesn’t include the complete 1955 series to make this the definitive and ultimate collection. I don’t even think you can buy the complete 1955 series anywhere.

This is for all fans of Sheena!
Whether you love the Sheena movie it came out in the early 1980s or the original TV show from the 1950s for the new Sheena television show that debuted in the early 2000s this box set is for you. It's a little bit of something here for all the generations fans of Sheena. I used to watch this show in my city on channel 50 on Saturday afternoons back in the early 2000s sure. I was a huge fan of this television show I thought it was cool and then I learned this was an update of the old Sheena television show from the late 1950s and I saw that as well and for it's time it was good as well. I'm not a big fan of the Tanya Roberts Sheena movie but it is watchable and it is here. You get a lot for your money in this DVD set it is a goodbye and I do recommend it.

It’s more than just a female Tarzan TV show
The movie is interesting and I enjoyed it so I bought the box set with the movie and the TV show, the TV show is a little campy, and that’s a term that people might not be familiar with another words cheesy. But there’s some chemistry and some interesting stuff and it’s not a bad TV show it’s fun to watch and enjoyable. It is worth adding to your collection of DVDs since this is a show that hasn’t been added to streaming and probably never will be which is too bad.

Baywatch stars shift from the beach to the jungle
I'm really enjoying this collection. Both Tanya Roberts and Gena Lee Nolin are great fun as the famous Queen of the jungle. The TV series has a real Baywatch carry over, featuring not only the star Nolin but also fellow Baywatch alum, John Allen Nelson, from Baywatch's earliest seasons. Gena is more of middle-period Baywatch vintage and then there is one of the lead Baywatch producers Doug Schwartz, co-producing this two season Sheena offering circa 2000-2002.

Good coverage of the Sheena shows and movie, but ideal only for viewing on small screens.
This collection of DVDs did a good job of compiling all the 'Sheena' shows and movie. Brought back memories of the show that was quite interesting in concept. However, in order to fit so much content onto a few DVDs, the resolution is technically quite low. I was trying to watch some of the shows on a 60 inch screen, and even with a very good upscaling dvd player, the resolution was distractingly fuzzy. Despite that, lots of light fun during the shows.
