Bentgo MicroSteel Leak-Proof Lunch Box - Microwave-Safe, Oven-Safe, Bento-Style Container with Removable Divider, Airtight Lid, Sustainable Design, Odor & Stain Resistant (Aqua)

I purchased one of these earlier this year and it was $40, the box is great, and I love the options of oven, freezer and dishwasher safe. I ended up buying 5 more of them direct from the manufacturer. Bentgo is also really solid when it comes to warranty claims. The $80 price tag here is too much for me and would recommend going through Bentgo or another retailer.

Update on the update: I didn’t realize the replacement also was coated. Third time o top rack of dishwasher and it’s peeling. Just don’t buy this product unless you are able to hand wash only forever. Update: Bentgo reached out and replaced this with a non-coated version. I loved a microwaveable stainless steel so I am extremely impressed with their customer service. Original review: I love Bentgo, but this product is a miss for me. Defective outer coating. Says it is top shelf dishwasher safe, but started to peel after about 5 washes. Tried to then hand wash, but the plastic coating flaked off on my dishcloth. So, it’s in the trash.

This box was impossible to open for most of the humans at my house. None of my teenagers or kids could open it. I couldn't open it. My husband had to use all his strength and slam it against a wedge in order to get the lid to give so he could open it. This is unusable for lunches or snacks because the seal is too strong.

Leaked on first use. Enough that it needs to be placed in a plastic bag for safety. And yes as others have noted the colour coating has come off- after two hand washings. Hyped.

Not leak proof at all!!!
