Excellent Value and Easy to Use!
I recently purchased the RJ45 Crimp Tool Kit with CAT 6 connectors, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This kit was SUPER cheap and incredibly easy to use. The instructions provided were clear and simple, making the whole process a breeze. I had no issues making my connections, and the tool worked flawlessly.Although I didn't use the tester (it requires a 9-volt battery), the kit still helped me hook up the unfinished ethernet cables for wired hookups in my apartment. The best part? My download and upload speeds doubled compared to what I was getting wirelessly. Overall, this kit is a great value for anyone needing to set up their own ethernet connections. Nice to have a new skill unlocked and not break the bank.

Bought this for occasional use and it works nicely
I have a slowly growing collection of ethernet cables that are unreliable and it seemed likely it was due to the connectors, so I purchased this. Some of the other user videos here were very helpful. After getting the knack with the first cable, I did two more, and they all tested well. Not having to buy 3 new replacement cables already paid for the tool.It feels solid in my hand and when I squeeze it to crimp. I would do one end, then test the cable to see that the first new connection was good, and then do the other end. That way, if it tested bad, I could be certain which end was the problem. I'm sure I'll have use for it again down the road. People who do this kind of thing for a living would probably opt for more expensive tools, but for my use case it's a very good value.

Tool seems excellent. Fussy tester.
Tool is very easy to use and seems well-built, appears to produce consistent, correct crimps. Tester is confusing to me. Rather than try to interpret the tester pattern of blinking lights, I just I test the original cable first, take note of the tester signal in original condition, then make sure that signal is duplicated with the shortened cable. I’m not an electrical or network guy, barely getting by….I’m using this to shorten excessively long RJ12 (6-wire) cables. So I had to buy connectors separately.

Decent for occasional use
It gets the job done for small projects. The crimper works pretty well. The tester worked good too. The tester correctly identified a cable that I had crimped incorrectly, and it correctly passed the cables that were good. The stripper is pretty flimsy, but like another reviewer said, it does work pretty well.A couple of notes:- The tester requires that you install a 9-volt battery. The connector to the battery is really weak/flimsy, and I'm worried about breaking it if I ever have to unhook the first battery I put in it.- The included rj45 plugs are not great quality, and they have holes through the end, so the individual wires can poke through. I ended up throwing out the included rj45 plugs, as they were more trouble than it was worth. But the main things -- the crimper and tester, both have worked really well so far!

Worked really well!
Finished the Ethernet wiring the builder left me and the tool did great. I messed up and crossed the order of the wires on 1 of my cables so my speed was limited to 100mbs. I fixed it easily and we were up to speed.

Nice tools
I’ve used all of these tools and parts now and definitely like them. The cable tester also saved me when I ran a new cable that wasn’t working.

The network cable tester stopped working after one use.
Used the cable tester to check the results of a crimp job and the tester worked as expected. Tried using the tester again a year later on a different project and it would only cycle through the first 3 pins of a known good cable, despite installing a fresh battery. No battery was left in the tester while it was in storage.
