Amazing drone kit of HAKW's work, the shipment delivered on the committed date
Took time to write a review after using the drone. I would like to say many thanks to HAKW's work support team for providing outstanding support for inquiries and clarifications after the purchase. Few highlights: • After a week of use, one of the LIPO battery's cells got defective; hence, the HAKW's work support team refunded £25 to purchase a replacement from the local store, as it cannot be delivered separately. • Moreover, the landing gear was damaged during my first fly test of the drone. After I was informed, received a complimentary replacement landing gear. • Still, the support team is in touch with me for providing clarifications. Suggestions for advancement: • Even though the circuit diagram for building a drone is available on the website, it would be extremely useful to include a printed copy with the drone kit. • The digital battery voltage monitor with LCD for the LIPO battery can be included in the drone kit to help check the voltage in each battery cell in the event that a fault occurs. • Additional two landing gear legs can be included with the drone package, to save time in the event that a landing gear leg breaks during the initial flight test. To safeguard the drone, the landing gear's quality can be enhanced. Now, I purchased an entirely individual drone component from HAWK's works except the Pixhawk flight controller to build a second drone with a Navio. I would give a five-star, an excellent post-sale support team and a great product :-)

didnt work after months of back and forth
As a trained engineer , i built this to the spefications , followed the instructions , would not calibrate and work. After months back and forth , i eventually spoke to amazon and got a refund. its a simple build but the calibration would just not go through and it would not fire up and fly despite all the efforts - make sure if you buy it you try everything within 30 days

The assembly was great ! But I have one question : When we light up the flysky controler, plug the battery and push start button for 4s a got the green light for the GPS (so that is fine) but in mission planer / DATA i don't get the GPS Fix? In the video assembly they said to plug the gps in the i2c but i see on internet to plug in CAN so what is the good thing to do?

Simple build and the youtube videos are about 90% complete; some missing items. For anyone coming back to hobby after a long hiatus; this is a good intro back in without too steep of a learning curve. Took about 4-5 hours of distracted working to go from box of items to flying drone. Good: All parts and pieces needed for build to fly; nothing missing. Everything seems good quality with 1 minor exception. Simple solder free wiring Works seamlessly with mission planner / ardupilot out of the box. Minor gripes (being overly critical): GPS holder is annoying and a bit questionable, super glued my fingers together at least twice. Will change out to a real mount. Wish they had a option to change from the older px to px4 or px6 for extra cost. Safety switch, receiver and buzzer are just zip tied and double side taped; prefers mounts typically; more 3d prints for longer term. Battery tray is a bit wonky notes: The build videos have you test motors before you do a esc calibration tuning; this is backwards and results in the motors not spinning during test. Failsafe not working yet; could be instructions problem or user error (probably both).

If not for another user writing that the instructions got the ESC calibration and Pixhawk calibration steps backwards I'm not sure I would have figured it out on my own, that really needs to be corrected. This is my first drone build. It took about 4 hours. Skip the fairly useless written instructions and just use the Youtube videos. Everything was there in the kit, everything worked once assembled. One hex screw was bad and the GPS stand nut wouldn't thread on. I'm unsure what this battery tester is for or why the video says to connect it before flying since it doesn't appear to send any telemetry. I plan on mounting geologic sensors to this, it appears to have enough space under the legs to add some sensors. It doesn't fly upwards very quickly so I'm uncertain how much spare lift this has or if I'd need to get more powerful motors. I wish the instructions would go over what exactly we are doing with all the settings in the RC configuration, and what the other 2 switches we calibrated do. Anyways, seems like a decent enough kit for the price and a good intro to building and flying my own drone.
