Just fun to hit
I bought this club because I wanted to try out a 9 wood. I have a 7 wood that is so easy to hit why not try a 9 wood? But I just couldn’t justify spending $350 at the local golf store for something Ii may not even like. So when I saw this one I jumped on it, I’ve spent more money on a bad meal. When it came, I went straight to the driving range and started smacking balls. On my first swing, I fell in love. It launches the ball so high and so easy to hit it felt like cheating. It carries for me 60 year old retiree 125 yards easy. That falls right in between my 9 iron and my 8 iron. But that’s not even the best part of it. The best part is the launch angle and height. This club just skies the ball and at its Apex it drops straight down. Now I get in trouble on the wrong side of the tree lines more times than not and I am confronted with trying to punch the ball through or go over the trees. This club goes over the trees with so little effort. But I’ve also started using it to bump and run shots around the green. I have a lot more control using this club as opposed to say a 6 or 7 iron. Honestly, I don’t know how you can go wrong. It’s well made and it’s cheap. I think you’ll be very happy with this club. I know I am.

Very nice hybrid club at a very good price point
This is my first hybrid club, which I am using as a three iron / 5 wood replacement. It only took a few shots over a couple of rounds to adjust to it with very successful results. The resulting shots have been relatively long in range and very straight off the club. This is a very good club for the mid to high range handicapper and seems to be of very good quality for the price point.

Hybrid club
A bit too heavy for me. Should have got a senior shaft in it, but that’s my fault not yours. All in all pretty darn good club and I would suggest to anybody to use it if they like hitting hybrids.

wow , I hit them straighter now
Bought a #3 and #5 hybrids and was hesitant to use without a lot of practice, after just a little practice I now use the #5 on the fairways and the #3 off the tee all the time. My old woods I was all over, if I hit it right I would send the ball a mile but I was erratic, slicing, hooking, nubbing, you name it and I would get a decent drive here and there, no consistency. I now hit the ball pretty darn straight pretty often, I have sacrificed some distance but I feel confident off the tee that I am not losing my ball and on the fairway also. My drives dictate my game and I am more consistent then ever off the tee now. I will say, I think my game has improved for sure due to these two clubs ! I love them ! A follow up review, I also have bought the 6,7,9 and PW and I am pretty darn accurate with all of the clubs, I know my game has improved and my average score has lowered, I hope it continues to. These hybrids are cost friendly so I say buy one, try it, give it a little time, I was concerned because it took a while to get used to a hybrid, but it became a love, love relationship with my hybrids, I threw all my irons in the trash can except my sand wedge, no need for them, recycle that scrap iron !!!!

Great club! I'll be buying more.
I just started playing again after a 10 year break. I don't hit as long as 10 years ago but I've always hit hybrids well. I wanted to try something that would make me more consistent in the 7-8 iron range so I bought the 8 hybrid. I figured for $38 it was worth the risk. When the club arrived, the first thing I did was regrip it with a Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G Jumbo as the grip is very low quality. Then I went to the range. My normal 8 iron varies from 115-125 yds and I often chunk it. This club was an instant and consistent improvement. I was hitting it 135-140 yds every time and it was always straight. I've had the club for about 2 weeks now and am much more consistent with it. The paint has worn off a little but that doesn't really matter to me as long as it helps my game. I like it so much I'm going to buy the 7 and 9 hybrids as well.

Quality built, but not great results.
First off: quality built club. It's well made. Decent grip and good shaft. My only complaint would be the paint easily chips, but that kind of thing doesn't bother me. The head did feel heavy compared to other hybrids. I didn't have a problem with the weight. Unfortunately it didn't fit my swing at all. I have a TM 4 hybrid and Mizuno 5-6 hybrids. I hit them very well. My 7-iron broke and I thought a 7H would replace my iron well. Iron play is not a strength of my game. There's a lot more offset in the Pinewood than my others which caused me to go left a lot. Also, the leading edge is very different and I found myself routinely blading shots. Occasionally I would get a hold of one and it would really go. If you can hit a hybrid with offset, then it's for you. I ended up pulling the shaft, shortening it and using it on my broken 7-iron. I'm still hunting for a cheap 7H that fits my swing. Know your swing before you buy.

Great clubs for the price!
These pinemeadow egi hybrid clubs are worth every penny you pay as I'm a 61 year old that use to golf years ago and was ok with a 10 handicap, now that I've reunited with the course I have found my irons have betrayed me...my two sons have recently taken up the game of golf so I wanted to try these hybrids oh boy... What an improvement it has made to my game!... with my irons I was hitting left of Fairway right of Fairway and my 7-iron that I could hit the ball 150 yd can now only hit it about 120... these hybrids have straightened out my Fairway shots and mid-range shots onto the green and improve my distance back to almost where I was back in my Prime ... I love these clubs ! ... Long story short if you're on the fence trying to decide whether or not to pull the trigger and buy these hybrids just do it you won't regret it! I highly recommend.

Good clubs for the money
I already have 4 and 5 hybrid clubs (Ping), and they work so well I replaced my conventional 6, 7, and 8 irons with these Excel hybrids. I find them a lot easier to hit straight than my old clubs. I notice that they hit the ball higher (compared to my old irons), which can be an advantage, but I do have to take one more club to get correct distance -- not a difficult adjustment. As some other reviews mentioned, the paint on these clubs does chip quite easily, but that doesn't affect the performance, so I don't care much about that.

Al principio me pareció que no estaba bien balanceada pero posteriormente al seguir usándola resultó fue mejor de lo que esperaba que inclusive tengo la misma distancia que el híbrido tres que tengo

These Pinemeadow EGI hybrids are great clubs especially at the pricepoint they sell for. I bought a set of the cheaper ones by pinemeadow couple years ago but they were offset and I had trouble hitting them. The EGI's are not offset and work great. They come with head covers and make sure to use them. The are susceptible to bag chatter (paint chips) on the heads but otherwise very durable, useful clubs. I now have the 6 and 7 and as an elderly man will surely buy more. Cheers
