This was a frivolous/midlife crisis buy.I've always wanted a foot locker since I was a kid. Never got one. Then I had one of those "Wait, I'm an adult, I can eat ice cream whenever I want" moments and bought one. I love it.I originally found the excuse to buy one to use as an ottoman/foot rest. When sizing the piece I used my giant camping cooler that had roughly the same dimensions. I got the foot locker, and ended up keeping the cooler as a foot rest as it stored snacks very well and hermetically, and ended up actually using the foot locker for its intended purpose. I put all the stuff I use frequently but have just been leaving out in it. Now all that stuff it organized, protected, and out of sight.Some things I didn't realize when I purchased it:The entire thing is clad in steel. I know it said so in the description... But this thing is ARMORED.And...Magnetic! You can stick magnets to this. Super handy, especially if you have cats.But what about the paint you ask? I hoped I could actually ding it up, distress it a little abd give it some character. Nope... this thing must be painted with the same indestructible material they use on refrigerators that we all take for granted. I've dragged rare earth magnets all over this thing and have yet to see a scratch. I've dropped plenty of stuff on it too. Nada. Same thing with all the hardware. I've filled this thing up and had to drag it around, those handles are going nowhere.If you need a place to store stuff or need to dump a body in the ocean, this thing is perfect.

Not only is this a beautiful piece of furniture and I can take with me from place to place when I move and used as anything from just storage to a coffee table, but it’s also sturdy inside and out. I can sit on it without it ever creaking- so it can also be used as a chair. It has tons of room, is well built, has a lifetime warranty so I don’t have to worry IF something were to happen, and the knowledge that the money goes to kids at least a bit warms my heart. There was also a cute camp sticker inside. Very good buy, well recommended.

I purchased a C&N trunk, recently. The design, materials, craftsmanship, functionality and aesthetic appeal were so impressive, I decided this product is perfect for a project I was starting, so I ordered four additional trunks. Upon inspection, I noticed a tiny scratch on the lid of one of them. In a very brief chat with customer service, I requested a phone call which I received, immediately. The Amazon rep handled everything. And, the seller arranged for pickup of the return, and delivery of the (perfect) replacement…very quickly. I’ll be ordering two more, next week.I cannot sing praises loudly enough for the product, without adding a chorus for customer service.

I actually ordered three of these! I really like that classic appeal, very solid build and sturdy craftsmanship in evidence with the hinges and throughout the top alignment. This product has ample room for storage of all my important family heirlooms passed on to me from my grandparents and parents. I now have a safe place for precious photos, antique jewelry and curios.

Purchased in January of 2022. I use it daily for storage of the bedding I use nightly. So, years of opening and closing.Good as the day I bought it. Quality.

From the price, the other reviews and the reputation - I was confident that I was receiving a good product. This is why I was comfortable spending a little ‘extra’ to ensure that I’d get a product that lasts the way it is supposed to. What surprised me is - honestly - how incredibly gorgeous the piece is. The pictures do not do the coloring justice - even the sellers product pictures don’t capture the quality entirely. I picked the ‘maroon’ one and it is the most perfect maroon. Aesthetically, I could not have asked for a better piece. In a world that is operated by social media and motivated by superficial aesthetics - this piece surpassed expectations and will be a conversation starter too. I will be looking for a reason to buy another one in a different color.Structurally, it hits it out of the park too in quality and construction. Thick sturdy walls and lid, heavy metal hardware but still a maneuverable weight even without wheels. I am a little concerned about there only being one interior hinge - but the nice thing about it not being particle composite is that if it gave me trouble, or if I ever felt some kinda way about it - I could put in new ones without destroying the wall. Very happy with my purchase.

Storage is a good option, prefer the old fashion WW2 foot lockers
