I was worried about all the reviews claiming the water feature didn't work. My 4 year old wanted this toy so bad, I surprised him at Christmas with it. The water feature didn't work initially (per husband's word). I took the water bottle off, pulled the hose lightly, filled with warm water, and pushed the button for a good 2 minutes on and off again. Also pressed the other buttons. You know, took my time to figure it out. Sure enough, the water started squirting out of the water hose!It is a fun toy for my kids.Can't wait for spring and summer to play with it more!

Honestly, it is a pretty cool truck, and it is a pretty cool concept. My four year old is super into it... but the main cannon that you can rotate and adjust aim to spray water DOES NOT WORK in the majority of cases. If that is a feature you care about, you will be disappointed.For the truck I ordered, I replaced the demo batteries with brand new Duracell batteries. Everything else started to work well, but no luck on the water cannon. I've probably given the little water pump 15 minutes of opportunity to start spraying at this point. Hoping to hedge my son's mounting disappointment, I ordered a SECOND truck, thinking I'd had bad luck and that the second would work. Well, after ten minutes, and two different brands of new batteries, I can safely say that NEITHER of the two trucks have functioning water cannons. Time to start the return process... They need to improve the design. I suspect the line is getting pinched where it goes into the rotating cannon aperture.

We thought the fire truck was defective since the water cannon didn’t work. We changed the batteries and pressed the button for several seconds to prime and water shot out. It works! Hope this helps!

This firetruck is cool but the water canon function does not work at all. I contacted the company and received a general operated response asking me to take a picture so they can further help me. How do I take a picture of a not functioning water canon you ask? I don't know! And when I responded to said email to ask that question I have not received a response. This was a present from Santa so how do I return it without him noticing? Grrr....

This truck is truly amazing. My little girl is autistic and loves water and this made her so happy. The sounds are not to loud which is great. It moves fast. Water shoots fast and long distance. Very rugged,well made toy. The controls are easy to use. The concept of this toy is superb. I highly recommend this toy. Would make any little one happy. I enjoyed this as much as my little one. Great price for toy as well. Please note while batteries are included it does state to change batteries. We did and it works great. No issues!

I was hesitant to buy this truck because it seemed every review was negative for the fact that it wouldn't spray water. I decided to purchase it anyway because my son wanted a "brush breaker" for Christmas and this is literally the only one around.True to the reviews, the water wouldn't spray. Ok, fine, we won't even mention it to him that it could spray.But then we read all of the instructions - the batteries included are for display purposes only and to replace the batteries for actual play.Well, now that we replaced the batteries, the truck moves quickly and for a long distance AND sprays water perfectly well to about 6' or so.This will be a perfect toy for months to come.I gave full star reviews for value because I bought it on sale before the holidays for only $15. It is 100% worth it for half off. Full price... probably not. But my son is happy with it and so are we.

I have a firetruck obsessed little guy and this firetruck does so much. The coolest feature is by far the shooting water, it goes far and is so cool. This is easy to use. It's a lot bigger than I expected as well, which makes it that much better! Highly recommended, would make a great gift! Will be used for years to come with all the features that it has included! The lights and sound make it realistic!

I ordered this for my grandson’s 4th birthday. He is the biggest rescue vehicle fan, especially fire trucks. We received the first truck and the water would not work. We put in new batteries and tried several times to get the water to shoot. No water. I returned and purchased another. Same thing, no water. I returned #2 and purchased #3. #3 got here, and I could tell from the packaging that it had been returned. We put in new batteries, and again, NO WATER!!!!!! I am apparently a glutton for punishment because I have ordered #4, which will be here in 2 days. If that does not shoot water, I will return with another review - and it will not be a nice one. This is absolutely ridiculous. Do not say that your toy will do something that it will not!!!!!! This is very disappointing to kids and their Mema’s who want to buy the best birthday present ever!!!UPDATE: #4 ARRIVED, THIS ONE DOES NOT SPRAY WATER EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
