The first thing to point out is how small this is - have a look at my pictures. Not necessarily saying that’s a bad thing but I do think you need to be aware.Anyway the shampoo seems really good, my beard is dry and wiry and nothing makes it massively softer but this does seem to have a slight effect. Smells not unpleasant and obviously handy for a travel bag.PN oil has always been a hot topic for me. I’ve desperately wanted to be impressed by this for almost 2 years but sadly that won’t happen. Don’t get me wrong, it smells amazing and goes on really easily but does not make my beard feel very different. It seems to reduce the itching I often get but only lasts 2 to 3 hours. That might be different for other people obviously.Both products do feel premium to reflect the price though and I may well get the shampoo again but I can’t see me buying the oil again. I normally use their beard balm and will likely carry on doing so as it lasts me longer

This is the first mens grooming/beard company (that I am aware of) which do a starter kit.And it is a really good idea!Men's grooming products, and in particular, beard products are expensive. A lot more than head hair products.If you've just started growing your beard and want to buy the range of beard products - shampoo, softener, oil, balm, mushtache wax, you will find yourself 100+ out of pocket.Here is the ideal starter kit for a tiny fraction of that.Plus if this is the first time you've started growing a beard, you really have no idea what that finished beard is going to look like.It can be totally different to your head hair. Your head hair may be straight while the beard is curly. And the two can be a different colours. Even your beard itself may be different colours!So buy this kit for the first month or so and then if you want to keep the beard you can look at the more extensive (expensive) range of products.Another great use for this kit would be for holidays/travelling. It will take up very little space and will keep your beard healthy and managed during you journeys.A point I'd like to make to any men reading this - most of the men I have known who have tried to grow a beard have shaved it off within one month. One month is nowhere near enough time to find out what your beard is going to look like. I have currently been growing mine for eight months. During that time it has gone through 4-5 phases. But I am now pleased with it and will be keeping it.So give it at least 2-3 months before picking up that razor. What have you got to loose, and my bet is that after those months most of you will keep it.

Disappointed in the size

Having used percy nobleman products before, this handy little travel sized kit looked like it would be a great present for my partner. The smell could stand to be stronger but is a nice subtle fragrance, smells nice and clean :) the shampoo has been great and has left his beard nice and soft. Would recommend for a traveller or for someone to keep in their gym bag.

I wanted to leave a review just to show the actual size of this set. Maybe I didn’t read the description properly but I bought this as a Christmas gift and when it arrived I was a little disappointed as it’s really small and doesn’t seem much for the price. As you can see from the photo it’s about as long as my index finger. Products are still great but wanted others to know exactly what they are buying.

I will admit this is very small, however as a trial for my husband it wasn't too disappointing. He said you hardly need more than a few drops so ot should last a while. His thick wirey beard felt alot better after use and he's hoping the flakiness will inprove with use also. If all goes well I will definately consider buying a larger order. Nice as a stocking filler or a gift from the kids

I've used multiple brands of beard oil and shampoo but I always find myself being disappointed and returning to percys products. The beard shampoo is the best on the market in my opinion. It keeps my beard nice and soft and doesn't leave it with a dried out feeling like other brands do. The beard oil is also of equal quality. It helps keep your beard soft and under control all day long without leaving a greasy feeling.The reason I bought this kit was to stick it in my gym bag which saves me lugging around the larger size bottles.
