Good value timer for Canon 5D Mk III
Good value timer that does the job. Bought this to use on my Canon 5D Mk III for sunset photography in Naxos last week. It can be used as a remote manual trigger when on a tripod instead of using the inbuilt time function on the camera. It can also be used for timed exposures exceeding the cameras own 30 second limit. I used it for several shots of between 1 and 10 minutes in Bulb mode and it worked perfectly. You can program both the delay time to start the shot and the length of the exposure. There is a back light that comes on for about 5 seconds when selected - you need this at night to set different shutter times. It comes with an adapter for the Canon 5D Mk III so make sure you pick the right one for your camera. A useful hint for the 5D Mk III - if you have selected the mirror lock up mode on the camera you will need to trigger the device twice. The first time it locks up the mirror. You can then overide the time delay with the manual switch and then restart the timer to take the shot. Only when the red light on the back of the camera is on is the shutter open. Sounds fiddly but you get used to it quickly.

Cheap, cheerful & effective..
While this is no remote trigger, that you stand 20ft away and take the shot, you can use a delay up to nearly 100 hours (you'll probably not need that long)A better use is for long exposure shots, allowing for exact exposure timing over 30s, up to nearly 100 hours - easily setting h:m.s individually. Set delay to a second or more, so zero camera shake..Want to do time lapse? Simply set interval h:m.s (to near 100hours) and number of shots (to near 400)Multi exposure, no problem here either..

Takes time to familiarise
Works well and appears to be of good quality - I haven't had it in use much yet. My comment is that it is 'tricky' to set up. You need to scroll through a whole batch of settings in order to put in your own. There is no clear indication as to which setting you are on and each setting does not have the same number of entries making it easy to get an incorrect combination. In one instance my 'setting' of 60 secs delay resulted in 60 consecutive photos instead. I guess I will familiarise myselfe with the correct sequence with more use.

Easy to use
A great remote controller for my Olympus camera. When you need to be away from the camera for that tricky close up macro shot its great, no vibration from pressing the shutter release. The timing options are easy to setup and great fun to play with. Time lapse or long exposure are so easy to set up. Well worth the money.

Works great for long exposures however and as an remote it ...
For the price I cannot fault it to be honest the only issue i have is when trying to complete a timelapse and set for 1 second intervals there is a delay effectively making it two seconds. Works great for long exposures however and as an remote it works fine also.

Good product, responsive supplier.
Thought it was not a new item. The supplier responded same day and explained what the problem might be. The protective film on the screen can get scratched and scuffed in the long manufacture and delivery process - but it is difficult to see the film. Once I saw this and peeled it off the item looks fine.

No instructions but great value!
There are no instructions but if you are familiar with intervalometers it shouldn’t take long to figure out. It does work slightly differently to the Canon one I use. I thought the Canon one was far easier to operate than this one maybe because there were no instructions? Nevertheless I have used it twice now and seems to perform just as well.

Well made and at reasonable cost. Easily recommended.
Well made for the price which is why I bought two, after all, my wife isn't planning on photographing exactly what I do.It's important to order the correct version as the adapter sent comes in the form of a 4-inch fly-lead with the relevant adapter coupling at one end. I'm not sure if the adapter fly-leads can be purchased separately but it would be a great additional accessory for those with different camera systems/manufacturers.
