Can it hold the original non-slim pen from surface pro 7 and before? i do not use the keyboard and the rechargeable version is not an option for me.

It has this portion at the top to hold your pen.

will it fit model QIM-00017?

Is that a Microsoft Surface model??? 🤔

Will this fit a ProX?

Choose the correct model: URBAN ARMOR GEAR UAG Designed for Microsoft Surface Pro X Case [13-inch Screen] Metropolis Feather-Light Rugged Military Drop Tested Protective Cover, Black Copy this link : https://www.amazon.com/URBAN-ARMOR-GEAR-Metropolis-Feather-Light/dp/B07Z3TY7P3/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3LYILSW0RUD9D&keywords=urban+armor+gear+uag+designed+for+microsoft+surface+pro+x+case&qid=1688673675&sprefix=UAG+Case+for+Surface+PRO+X%2Caps%2C190&sr=8-2&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18630bbb-fcbb-42f8-9767-857e17e03685

Does the keyboard get in the way if you want to use tablet mode on the go?

No, I remove the keyboard from the Surface as normal, and I'm in tablet mode. That is what makes the product so versatile...and still protects my Surface Pro.
