I typically give only four stars for a top review, reserving the fifth star for those things that really impress me as well above my expectations. This lil ladder gets five stars. My wife and I really like this thing. I was surprised by how inexpensive this was. It's from a highly-rated company though, so we decided to get it. The design, three steps plus a nice high support(with a deep tray), was what I felt would be best, as opposed to a full ladder, steps to the top. She and I both like this format better, we used a 'regular' ladder when we painted the bedroom, and this one's a much better tool. We just finished painting the front room, and it's easier for us old folks to lean on a ladder made like this. It's SOLID. There's not even a little wobble. I weigh ~270lb., so wanted to be sure our ladder was strong and solidly built. Neither of us is as steady as we used to be, so we really appreciate how steady this thing is. It's light, I was really surprised by that. There's a handle on the back of the(big!) third/top step, and when you lift that handle, the ladder folds up smoothly, completely and easily. I've used ladders, big and small, for years, for a lot of reasons and jobs, from painting to firefighting. This is, IMNSHO, the lightest, easiest to handle and use, best designed and made ladder I've used. All that and what I think is a very reasonable price. We're impressed. I think you'll be impressed too. Neither the ol' lady or I work for or are compensated by Amazon or the maker of this ladder. I do these reviews because I appreciate (most of)the reviews here from other folks, and I want to help the next guy too. I'd love to get free stuff to review like some folks, but we buy ours, and I'll tell it like I see it, good/bad/other. YMMV, IANAL, IMNSHO this is a damn fine tool, a great ladder for a great price. What's not to love? ;)

This ladder is an excellent step ladder from Little Giant. I have been the proud owner of a monster Type 1A Model 26 for the better part of at least 10 years and have used it for everything. Everything including jobs that don't require anything more that the minimum size of 6' in height. Anything less than that & I just went with a footstool or a chair or my tippy-toes... needless to say, that isn't the safest or most efficient way to get the work done. I was getting ready to buy a Little Giant "Little Jumbo" 3 foot step ladder => Little Giant 10310B Safety Stepladder with Bar and Tray, 3-Step but, I wasn't buying immediately and for some reason, & then I found this less expensive solution. I know the quality of Little Giant ladders from being a long time owner and was not about to hesitate buying the "Flip'n Lite" version of their step ladder. First of all, this ladder is lighter weight PLUS it is rated to hold the same weight of it's larger sibling which means I don't have to think twice when interchanging the two... in other words, it's a strong ladder despite it's light weight. It is almost a full 10 pounds lighter than the "Little Jumbo" and the extra features on the "Little Jumbo" weren't as attractive as the lighter weight. So, I decided to buy this ladder once Amazon had it in stock. I was ready to buy and sure enough... they had a waiting period for delivery and that means I could put it off again and stick with my other methods of getting the job done until they got more stock in. Once it showed up as available, I made the purchase immediately. The ladder showed up in the manufacturer's packaging and it too was impressive. The box was sturdy and secure... it even came with a set of 8 perforated handles built into the box to make the delivery less cumbersome because it does happen to be a fairly large and awkward box otherwise. Inside the box was the "Flip'n Lite" Step Ladder encased inside a thick clear plastic shrink wrap with display advertisements and instructions included. It was packaged to be delivered in showroom shape, perfect! Once I opened the box and had some time to use the ladder, it has been smooth sailing. I have been able to move more quickly from job to job because of the lighter weight and smaller dimensions and most importantly, I know I always have my feet on solid footing. This makes any work I'm doing much more rewarding. The mechanism to open and close the "Flip'n Lite" is fairly straightforward. It is not a ladder I can toss around like my Model 26, but for the work I will be using it for, there should be no need for that. I can really appreciate the effortless feel of using this step ladder over the Model 26. That will make my life much more efficient as I won't be groaning about breaking out the Model 26. One nice thing I found about owning this second Little Giant ladder is that I now really appreciate this one even more so than the Model 26, just because I had no idea how the Model 26 was going to hold up over the years. Since I have tons of experience under my belt with the Model 26, I know that just from using the "Flip'n Lite" for less than 2 full days... it is another winner! Well worth the investment. If you need a decent step ladder, I highly recommend the "Flip'n Lite" from Little Giant and of course Amazon proves once again why they are the World's Biggest & Best online retailer. "(^^)"

I have owned a Little Giant ladder folding/extending convertible ladder system since when they ran an infomercial maybe 15 years ago or so and was always completely satisfied. This was getting a little heavy to lug around constantly for around the house. The 2 step granny seat / step stool we had was just not cutting it for a lot of things, and I found myself more frequently standing on the padded flip down seat to reach things. I volunteer with a local ambulance, and after being called to treat someone that seriously injured themselves doing exactly that on a similar seat/stool, I decided to start looking around for a small ladder to fill this gap. I found several in the same general price point as this Little Giant the same height reach, so I went with the name I trust. Not disappointed. This ladder is very light. I can carry it with one arm, and the built in carry handle makes it convenient and comfortable to do so. It opens smoothly with the platform handle. I absolutely love the platform and side rails. It’s inherent design intentionally prevents you from over stepping the ladder’s reach height. This top rung IS a step! It says up to 300 pounds support, so it is strong as it is light. The 3 step version is perfect height for me. I am 5’8” and this puts my head right at the 8.5 foot ceiling while on the platform.

This might be the best-engineered product I've ever bought. Everything is tight and strong, the ladder is light and easy to move, it extends above the highest step for safety, it has a nice tray on the top for tools or hardware, and it deploys and folds up with ease. I use it for everything around the house that requires a ladder. Absolutely first-rate product!

I am in the construction industry, this ladder is sturdy, light, well built & meets all Ontario Ministry of Labour requirements. I have not seen any product as good, available at a retail supplier.
