Calling this a balm is bad marketing but perhaps the term “baume levres” has a different meaning in French cosmetics. It doesn’t matter, just use it right and this will be a new holy grail product. This is not a protective balm or a hydrating balm, it is an oily serum that often separates as pretty much all natural products made from real honey will do.i credit it’s truly natural formulation for its generally unpleasant feel on the lips. STILL, this product has given me back my youthful pout. I’ve had naturally plump lips all my life, but after hitting thirty they just didn’t have that doll like softness anymore. Until I figured out how to use this product as softening and exfoliating serum. Make no mistake this will HURT your lips if you try to use it all day as your go-to balm. Instead, I apply it once daily after my skincare. If I have somewhere to be the next day I’ll use it twice the day before to give my lips that just rolled out of bed plump look which will last until the next day. NOT OVERUSING IS KEY and using appropriate recovery products after as if it is an exfoliating treatment. I usually follow it with aquafor or whatever Korean lip mask I’m currently using.

Smells and taste nice, pretty packaging, shipped fast, but this almost feels water based if that makes sense. It's thin and doesn't last, requires frequent reapplication.
