Amazing Product!
The media could not be loaded. Ok, this thing is amazing! Yes, it’s got a ton of LEDs. Yes, it requires patience to bend and solder all of those little leads together. But… once it’s all done it’s truly something to stare at!Pros: circuit board acts as jig for the LEDs to maintain alignment. Plastic tool given for bending pins over can be used as a gage for setting the planes of lights into the board.Cons: get ready to possibly go crossed staring at all this little lights.Be patient! It’s worth it!

DONT TRY THE ANIMATING PROGRAM...unless
unless you know very well what youre doing. the chip used for the mini and the regular cube are different. the tutorial video that is linked on their website is for the bigger cube. also, the program this seller/website provides to upload animation files to the cube is old and does not have updated current chips. you have to download the updated controller for the chip from the manufacturer website (the chip type is printed on the chip itself - and the schematic provided is for the big cube not the small one). anyways...my cube is "dead" now with no animations even though i loaded the factory animation which they do provide. of course it could be user error, but this should give you guys a heads up!

Great fun if you like soldering
This is a mini version of a very common 8x8x8 kit listed elsewhere. It appears that the same company that produces Hexidos DIY kits also produced this one except the LED's are half size. Instructions are almost the same and all the components are the same except in the instructions it tells you to use a 2mm plastic strip to get an accurate right angle on the anode. That strip was not in my kit and I consider it very essential to getting a decent assembly. So I grabbed that same strip from my Hexidos kit and it worked perfectly. Hopefully the manufacturer will double check for that part so future customers don't end up with a snarled mess.

Busy work, but at the end it looks great
There are 512 small LEDs, and "millon" of soldering points, so it will take some time to complete, so be carful to follow the instructions. But the end result is amazing -- Recommend.UPDATE: I sent an email to the the seller requesting the to modify the animation ("Software Modification"). Waited for a while - no response. Disappointing, especially that the say they provide such softwareUPDATE-2: Eventually got a response with link to the software. Thanks.

It’s busy work but bad quality overall
The electronic equipment is fine but the stencils and boards are not consistent at all. My stencil was not uniform and the stencil on the board was so loose that led fell through it. It was impossible to solder with steady hand. Unless you have serious soldering skills and can work without stencil won’t recommend to order this
