Get this excellent tool - You may need it someday
This is the tool you need for removing those pesky wiper arms. It's sturdy and well-made; the cone is a tough, heavy-duty plastic because it bears on the nylon jaw rollers and creates less wear on them. The cone will not break under normal use.The jaws are heavy enough to remove the very stuck wiper arms on my pickup that has seen 20 winters and lots of rain. Of course I used a penetrating oil and 3 days of patience, waiting for my new tool. I screwed down the tool hard but not too hard, and tapped firmly with a nylon hammer head. Back it off a bit, tap some more, screw it down hard and it finally did the trick. WD-40 helps during the tapping.Take a couple of minutes to fiddle with BOTH adjustments and see how the jaw width cone relates to the screw plunger depth. It should fit the vast majority of vehicles. One of the most effective, rarely-used tools I've ever bought and worth three times what I paid for it. Don't buy a cheap knock-off. Get the Lisle!

...it works...
...be patient, set it up carefully, probably have to use a vise grip to turn the center post (the little arm to turn the center post is not very sturdy)

more adaptable than it appears
It took me a moment to figure this out;it would benefit from some instructions.A lot can be adjusted to get the right fit by turning the knob below the T-bar. i can't remember if pliars were needed to make some adjustments

Worked well
I needed this to remove the wiper arms on my 2003 VW Golf. The drivers side arm was particularly difficult to remove. It was so hard in fact, I had to modify this puller to get the arm off. This modification is the sole reason for dropping the rating to 4 stars.Overall the quality of this puller is 5 stars. As mentioned by others the cone that is shown in the picture as being metal is in fact plastic. To me this is absolutely no issue at all though and is likely a rolling design change, which explains why the picture still shows it being metal. The force on the cone is minimal so there really is nothing wrong with it being plastic. The puller arms themselves are made of very strong steel and held up very well when pulling my seemingly welded on wiper arm. All of the stressed parts are strong and well made so this puller is likely to be the only one you will ever need for both battery connections and wiper arms alike. There is one problem I had with this puller. Had my arm not been so stubborn to get off it likely wouldn't have been an issue. The problem is the handle for turning the screw. What ever they made it from it is very strong. I didn't bent it no matter how hard I cranked on it. Conversely though, I couldn't generate enough torque to get the arm to break free. Also, the hood of my car was in the way so I had a hard time getting at it at certain points in the rotation. The solution was pretty basic for me, but would be nearly impossible without a lathe and a welder, which most people of course do not have.I cut the tee handle from the puller and then I drilled a hole in the end of a bolt so I could put the bolt only the shaft of the tool. I then welded it to the tool shaft. This allowed me to use a wrench or socket to turn the puller shaft instead of the tee handle. Once I had a socket on there I was able to easily get the torque I needed to break the arm free. Had this puller been of low quality materials this additional torque would have destroyed it. It did not break though, it held up just fine. Which makes me wonder why Lisle doesn't have a hex on top instead of the tee handle. I'm guessing they are concerned that people would over torque it and as strong as this is, I'm sure it is not of unlimited strength.I do think that in 90% or more of all situations this puller would work perfectly just the way it is built. In my case, living where they salt the heck out of the roads, things can be pretty hard to get apart. As an example though the passenger side popped off with no issue at all.I'd recommend this to just about anyone.

Well designed and constructed, but does not show where it is made
Seems to be excellent design, materials and machining, (though it is difficult to really put a puller through its paces without some years of use. ) It bothers me that nowhere on the item or packaging does it say anything at all about where it is made. I looked carefully and repeatedly; it's missing. It does say USA patent, but that's not the same thing as where it is manufactured. Amazon says USA is country of origin, but that is less reliabl.

Excelente herramienta
Me fui útil al cambiar los amortiguadores de un Vento 2020, pues me fue necesario quitar los brazos de los limpiadores y el extractor los saco de volada. Y vaya que estaban apretados!!

It work as intended
I end up cutting the middle stud so the claw can reach deeper on the wiper assemble.my only complain is the both hook or claw are not the same length so when you tight them it easily goes side ways/ slips out so i have to force it to pull up straight.other than that it work!

Worked as intended
It took a bit of fumbling; I felt there was a lot of force being applied on the very thin turning stick. However, I managed after a few tries, even if I am the worst at using any kind of tool, you cannot find somebody worst than me. Used this on a 2013 Ford Escape rear wiper arm.

One item i am worried about......
The one item i am a little worried about is the metal turn bar that you need to twist in order for the wiper arm to be pulled off. The bar is very thin and depending on how much pressure you use may very well bend of break, son't know why they did not make that a bit thinker in diameter.Otherwise looks very good, good weight to it. I bought to put in my toolbox for future use so unable to say much other wise that this one item which is the one weak point. I reviewed many others and all seem to have the same issue, less so with the reviews on this product so i'll just have to see if it holds up. I might be able to replace the through bolt with bar to a heavier one from the local hardware store, but for now i'll let it ride till i know for sure.
