I've been suffering from some kind of upper respiratory chest issue since the beginning of 2025 and it's been really getting bad the last week and I've been having these really bad coughs that I just can't shake, my nose is runny, my congestion is through the roof, and I was willing to try anything to help relieve the congestion. I tried to boil some water in the pot but if I'm being honest I was too lightheaded to just stand at my stove so I boiled some water in the microwave but standing over a bowl of hot water with a towel over my head felt a little Overkill even though I did feel a little bit of relief. So I invested in this. I've read other reviews that said they were able to get this for $30 on sale but I managed to get mine around 40 and when I went to Publix later on to buy more vapo pads their model was $50 and after trying it I do think I'm happy spending the $40 for the product I got.So far the only thing I don't like about it was when I first got it the mouth piece didnt fit perfectly onto the main body of the product. It looks like it's supposed to snap on but no matter what I did I couldn't snap it on and in the end I was too scared to break it so I just kind of rested it in the most secure way I could and got to using it. After 24 hours of owning the machine the mouthpiece has warmed up and it managed to mold onto the body a little bit easier now that it's warm and I'm pretty confident that it's securely on the product now. Like other people say your one sample for the vapo pads is within the guide of the product so try not to miss that and just like some of the other reviews say the vapo pad does dry out between uses because there's no way of like sealing it away so I did just go ahead and drive down to Publix and buy replacements which go for about a dollar a pad for the 12 nights of comfort version (12.99 total) which I don't think is that bad a deal for the level of relief that they do give you. It heats up pretty fast and it does get very very hot, sometimes I can't put my face completely over the mouth guard because of how hot it heats up and even though you can't always see the steam doesn't mean that it's not flowing although I have gotten it to the point where I literally see Steam floating out of it but it could also be because my house is about 60° right now lol. The only thing other than the mouth guard not fitting that I wish I could change about this is that I wish the reservoir was a little deeper so it could hold more water. I've seen other reviews say that they use it for the 15 minutes turn it off and then just keep using it until the water is all out but my congestion is so bad that I'll literally have it going next to me on the table while eating, drinking, or watching TV and I keep it on until it runs out of water essentially. So far I do feel like it's doing a great job of breaking up the congestion in my nose and since I can visually see that with the pile of tissues growing next to me I can only imagine that it's helping whatever is going on in my lungs although this is only day two of having it so who's to say LOL

Good for sinus and upper respiratory congestion. About 20 minutes of steam. Easy to clean.

I often have sinus issues and have been trying to find the best home remedies to get some relief and came across this steam inhaler with good reviews. Not sure if I got a bad unit, but based on some other reviews it is not uncommon for this item to essentially be useless.Mine had two major issues. First, it barely creates any steam to inhale. Of course I was not expecting a huge plume of steam since this is meant to just create some steam to breathe in and not actually boil the water, but this thing barely creates even a few wisps of steam. There is a vent that you can adjust to let out more or less steam, and even on the widest opening there is barely anything to breathe in, defeating the entire purpose of this item.Second, my unit did not disperse steam evenly, at all. I don't know if the heating element in mine was not heating the water evenly or what, but the right side of the inhaler basically had no steam coming up, and any steam that was produced only went to the left side... The inhaler is a mostly enclosed item, so it's not like any sort of wind/air would be moving the steam to one side. Plus, I was using the unit in an indoor room by myself so there was absolute not sort of air movement that would affect where the steam went. The only explanation is that the steamer does not heat up the water evenly or the venting system was not made properly to disperse the steam evenly...Might be low tech, but honestly you're better off boiling some water and pouring it into a thermos or a thick cup to retain as much heat as possible, and try to breathe in the steam coming from your thermos/cup. It works 100x better than this inhaler and costs nothing. If I am looking for a more consistent source of steam for a longer period of time, I have considered buying a small induction burner to heat up water in a small pot and doing the towel-over-head method, plus an induction burner doubles as a cooking appliance.Needless to say, I would not buy this, and I returned my unit for a refund.
