great sounding , fun to use

Makes my Mortgage Studio sound like I am in a professional studio.

This was my first ever audio interface that I bought. Friends had recommended this to me and from what I’d heard it sounded great! But as soon as I got it I had issues every step of the way. It wasn’t connecting correctly to OBS, the dials weren’t working as intended. I was getting double audio. For the price I paid, the features functionality is absolutely awful! I have wonderful friends who spent hours/days with me trying to figure it out with no luck, as soon as we fixed one thing another one broke. I even opened up a ticket with Rode, and their customer service has been amazing, but I’m still having issues with it not working properly. I just wanted to use it with OBS for recording, splitting audio, and voice effects. Honestly, it’s so frustrating and I am at a loss. I would not recommend this product, especially if you are new to the audio interface world. Very disappointing product and am wondering if I received a defective unit, but unfortunately to late to return.TLDR:Pros - awesome with voice changing, voice effects, makes your voice sound professional, and Rode has amazing customer service.Cons - didn’t work as intended, couldn’t connect it to OBS, dials not working with OBS as expected, some of the buttons to listen and mute your audio worked and others didn’t, I could hear myself talking even with that option turned off, and overall lots of features didn’t work as advertised.

My Wife and I started a gaming channel on You tube 2 years ago and the biggest problem we've had is audio overlap. Her Mic was picking up what I was saying and vice versa. It was a pain in the ass to edit, sometimes taking an entire day just to edit a 30 min video. This mixer solved all my problems, the rodecaster puts all of your mics into one channel plus has onboard processing. The voice changers and sound pads are a bonus for when we are streaming but the main reason I bought it is that editing now only takes 20 minutes.Easy to Use but Hard to master, I would recommend watching a few audio engineers on You Tube on how to set it up to get the best sound possible.I highily recomend picking it up

This thing is absolutely fabulous

I had high hopes for this device as a suitable replacement for a DAC/Mixing console to replace a GoXLR Mini but found it to woefully under perform. The headphone outputs are extremely noisy regardless of power source (AC adapter or battery), fader position/mute, mics connected/disconnected, processing enabled/disabled, and headphone sensitivity setting. The mic monitoring is NOT zero-latency and cannot be as when any effects are enabled you hear them on the monitoring output which would require the mic to pass through the processing stage before being output to the headphones/monitors. Disabling processing does not meaningfully reduce the monitoring latency and coming from other devices which have zero-latency monitoring it is extremely jarring.The software for the device does seem fairly well put together but is slightly confusing on the routing inputs/outputs with a lack of labels for what option changes what. Routing should be accomplished via a matrix of inputs/outputs. The touchscreen on the device is responsive and the level monitoring is nice. The faders, buttons, and knobs are also quite nice to use but the underlying hardware makes the whole experience poor. The delay between powering up the device and it being ready to use can be distracting especially when permanently connected to a PC/Mac if you power it down regularly. The lack of a second USB cable in the box which is needed to use the extra input/output also seems like a cheap move considering the cost of the device and how inexpensive a USB C to C 2.0 data cable is. In addition to needing a second USB cable to gain access to the additional input/output having only a total of three inputs/outputs for a PC/Mac is a disappointment compared to other comparable devices.Overall, this seems like a half-baked device with fundamental hardware flaws that cannot be fixed with software. If you intend to use this only as a standalone recording device and not connect it to a PC it might be a good fit but if you want to use this for any sort of streaming workflow you can find much better options.

I gave this 4 stars because it’s a good product. BUT this is unit is really designed for podcasting and nothing else. Trying to use it as an audio interface for streaming is a nightmare. It doesn’t play well with OBS or Streamlabs OBS on Mac M1 Max. Even when switching to mix-minus. Still double audio feedback. But if looking for a great podcast recording solution, this is it.Steer clear of this for streaming, especially if you use OBS.
