Gourmet Chinese
I have read that XO sauce is the gourmet of Chinese sauces. I have to agree. It's flavor was an excellent addition to my stir fries. It has a unique taste and a little goes a long way. My wife does not like any heat in her food so I add only a teaspoon to a variety of other sauces I may use in a recipe. She said she likes the addition taste so far and did not complain of any heat. Used it with a chicken and vegetables with some hoisen sauce and with a BBQ pork and rice dish I made with scallions, mushrooms, pea pods and soy sauce. I also added it to a pork and cabbage dish.

A strongly flavored sauce
The Lee Kum Kee XO sauce tastes like XO sauces I've had in good Chinese restaurants and it's a good rendition. It imparts a very rich, deep flavor and can be used in almost any stir fry dish .... and a little bit goes a long way. Can be nice to use when having guests over to dine because they might find the flavor interesting and different, perhaps beguiling, especially if unfamiliar with it. XO sauce has many ingredients in it. To my palate the dried seafood taste stands out in particular. If you've never had it, might be a good idea to taste an XO sauce before ordering so you know what it tastes like.

Four Stars
Love it but it's too expensive for the amount you get.

Read ingredients (and if possible, smell it) before purchasing.
I thought this would be a sauce for shrimp cocktails or other seafood ... but instead it's a nasty-tasting concoction of dried shrimp and God knows what else. Very fishy smell and taste. I'm sure there are people out there who love this stuff, but I'm not among them.

XO marks the spot
This is perfect on fried rice, noodles, and everything else under the sun. Do not miss out of this sauce. It adds a punch of smoky seafood flavor wherever you go.

Mild...Not Flavorful like XO Sauce Should Be
Not anywhere near as flavorful as XO sauce should be. What's normally a salty, scallopy and rich, savory crispy sauce is severely lacking in this brand. I've had many varieties but would recommend avoiding this one based on lack of flavor alone, unfortunately. Go to your local asian grocery store and you'll be way better off for the same price.

Very bland
It wasn't bad but definitely could have used some more salinity. Also extremely oily. I probably would not buy or use this again.
