Q: The compatible. no mention of that in this description. does this in fact have specific settings for lipo batteries?

The newer ones do have a lithium setting you can select. However there is no way of telling whether you have that setting until you power up the unit. GoPower could not even tell me from the serial number which I had when I called them. You can use the AGM setting for lithium batteries but it is not optimal. It will not bring them to full charge but it will not hurt them either. Quite frankly this GoPower unit is a lousy solar controller and in this day and age there is no excuse for its existence. Spend a bit more, about 100 dollars, and get the Vistron 100/30 MPPT instead. There is NO comparison.

Q: Can I use this to turn on my powerwise 2000 watts pure shine inverter?

The purpose of this controller is to charge your batteries. The powerwise 2000 watts pure shine inverter would also be connected to the batteries. It is doubtful that the solar controller would provide enough current to maintain you batteries enough by itself to have the inverter running.

Mine has a lithium option. It is working well so far, with two Lion 105 aH batteries. Replaced the older model without the lithium option (which had worked well with two wet cells for years prior to replacing with lithiums last spring). I like the flush mount look of this unit also.

yes it fits perfectly thats what had was the gpr-25
