I have been using expanded clay pebbles for a couple of year, mostly to repot orchids. They are much, much easier on my hands than lava, which I uisded for 20+ years before discovering these pebbles. This year I used them with bulbs, which would never survive the environment here (too much rain and hard clay soil) without them. As my uses for these expanded I thought it made sense to buyh in larger quanitiy, which is when I discoered these. Sijnce the price was better than most I did not know what to expect in terms of quality. AS it turns out and to my surprise these are among the best I have used. The size and shape is fdairly consisten (as described) and they are clean, do not need to be washed before use. I mention this because I have receivvbed bags which were full of dust and dirt, ad not what I would use to repot orchid that I did not want to have to rept again in a year.These are on the larger side, but if you are using thejm for drainage at the bottom of a pot they work well. Theuy also work well for orchiids, depending on size. I used these in 6 inch pots and up, and managhed to got through half a bag in an afternoon. Can't complain much as I did managhe to get a lot of plants repotted because htis is so much easier to use, Sometimes I writre a review just to remind myself of which products I liokwe so I can buy thew same brand again. This is one of those time, but I hope it helps other people too. Don't be deceived by the low perice, the qulity is very good.

These are wonderful. Easy to put into a pot or flower box on the side of the house. They hold in moisture so I don't have to do as much watering. They look very classy compared to naked earth.

The product arrived on time and looked pretty good. An issue that i had was that some of the pebbles were broken but not enough to cause a huge issue.

Fast shipping and works wonderfully. Done my prerinse. (my own preference)

Product is great but, the personal the package the item is will give one 🌟 so disappointed, now I can't storage up in the bag.So disappointed

I origianally got these to transition my plants from water to soil, but after a horrifying root rot debacle, and several prop n' chop episodes, these clay balls are now being used to cover my planters outside to keep the squirrels from digging in the dirt.They're not the best when it comes to durability, as they break apart easily and get everywhere if they fall on the floor, and you have to rinse them before using them otherwise you will have nasty looking water.

Helps a ton with propergation. I washed them and let them soak over night then I placed them with a fresh cut of a monstera. Waiting for roots wish me luck
