Keyboard holder was easy to install and nice quality.

I bought this to store/use my Akai mini MIDI controller. Install takes a drill/screwdriver and some measuring knowhow.Keeps thing accessible when I need it and out of the way when I don't.

This item had missing parts. Had to go to the hardware store to buy the missing nuts and bolts.

Perfect for my daughter’s desk. I am using it to keep a 17inch notebook and it works ok. Easy to install

When we bought our house 12 years ago, we turned the laundry/wash room countertop into a desktop PC office space. It already had the drawers, but the counterop height was too high for the keyboard and mouse.When I saw this extendable keyboard and mouse tray, I had to try it. The assembly steps were fairly easy. First, attach the sliders to both sides of the keyboard tray. The rear slider screws kept tipping over and getting stuck inside the slider, so those took several tries to insert correctly.Second, add the 4 mounting brackets to the keyboard sliders. This was easiest of all. I made the brackets the tallest I could since I wanted the sliding tray to clear the countertop and extend low enough.Third, install the entire assembly on the underside of the countertop or desktop. I used two large wood clamps as extra hands to hold the front of the keyboard tray in place while I drew lines through the bracket slots on the underside of our countertop with a mechanical pencil. Using a 1/8 inch drill bit in my drill, I pre-drilled holes for all 8 screws in the center of each line I drew.Adding the bracket screws was tricky again because the brackets shaded the holes I drilled, so aligning the screws took a bit of time. I only put one screw part way in each bracket until I had all 8 screws inserted, then I tightened them all the rest of the way.If your are able to lay your desktop upside down or if you have a helper, it greatly eases the installation and gives your arms and shoulders a break. However, I got it done single-handedly, so it can be done.I took photos of the keyboard and mouse on the tray nd of the instructions. I could run the keyboard and mouse cables through the holes at the back of the tray, but then I'd have to drill a hole in my countertop. I'll probably just upgrade to wireless mouse and keyboard instead at some point.I saw negative reviews about misaligned sliders. I tested the sliding mechanisms before adding to the desktop and had no problems. Could be installation error or maybe something for those customers was damaged in shipping? I didn't have any alignment problems and no screws were missing.
