Saved a English vice
Purchase this to fix a Sheffield record 4-5 vice I had for over 25 years it was a auto release type vice I had patched 5 years ago.My vice gets abused every day in the shop .DanDBADagel’s Repair & Speed ShopThe shaft is larger Original was 1/2” this one 5/8” but same length.had to shave .01 off the sides and bottom of the nut to get it to slide in all the way but it worked.With the larger shaft and nut it should last a long timeThis was not an Irwin vice but it’s now fixed
