Superb value and leaves a clean cut
For the price these secateurs are excellent. Nice and sharp and whilst not as smooth operating as Felco still do the job very well and can easily manage cutting through some 15mm rose stems!

Sharp, precise, very well engineered
Sharp, precise, very well engineered, provides clean precise cuts for 2-3 seasons with minimal maintenance and excellent tactile feedback. For most non-professional uses - this is ideal balance between quality, durability and price. There are better secateurs out there (this one is higher end of midrange), but they all start at £35-40.

Snip, Snip, Hooray: My Roses and Hydrangeas Love These Gonicc Secateurs!
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been putting the Gonicc 8" Professional Secateurs to work in my garden, pruning roses, hydrangeas, and buddleias. They’ve quickly become my go-to tool for tidying up the yard. These secateurs are sharp and they cut through stems with precision, leaving nice clean edges that plants appreciate. The sturdy build gives me confidence when I’m tackling thicker branches, and overall, they feel like pretty good quality for the price.Let’s be real, though - they’re not Felcos. They don’t have that premium heft or flawless engineering, but at a fraction of the cost, they’re a solid alternative for anyone who doesn’t want to splurge. I’ve been impressed with how well they perform for everyday pruning tasks. The jury’s still out on their longevity, though - I’ll need a few more months to see how they hold up. One small gripe: the foam padding on the handles slid around a bit during use, which got annoying fast. I ended up pulling it off entirely, and honestly, they’re fine without it.The locking mechanism is a nice touch - easy to flick on and off with one hand, which is handy when I’m juggling tools. For the money, these are a practical choice for gardeners who want reliable performance without breaking the bank. I’d recommend them if you’re after value and don’t need top-tier perfection!

Good value cutters. Strong and sharp.
Good value cutters. They feel strong and they certainly cut through some medium sized rosemary bush branches. I'm very pleased with the results. I'd recommend this item.

Impressed
I have a large garden and a lot of gardening tools. On the secateur front there is always a trade off between something big that will cut through thickish branches and something small for delicate trimming. For the big stuff, I've never found anything better than the large Felco units which are frankly worth the money. For detailed work I personally prefer the Japanese bonsai cutters, which have superb quality steel and a lovely hand-feel.That brings us in to the box full of also-ran secateurs that many people have picked up from garden centres, garden shows, Homebase, Amazon and the local supermarket! Mostly they start off OK and blunt or fall apart - or get left in the garden to rust by various members of the family (allegedly!).I've bought loads over the years but these budget secateurs are great in the hand - super comfortable and lightweight - and have a razor sharp cut. Time will tell, but I can understand why these get high sales and glowing reviews: a very good product.

Decent and good but not perfect.
Nice pair of shears. Cuts well. Decent grip but handle covers do start to slip when used for a bit. They can just be slid back into place so no major issue.
