Super cute dress. Didn't realize it was elastic in the back. Could have ordered a smaller size. But does fit well

This is a great dress for the price. I paid 35$ plus tax. It's stretchy and will fit a bigger bust really well. It is flowy and all the folds just fall perfectly. The prints are super cute. I tried a petticoat underneath but must say it really doesn't need it. It falls wide enough by itself. The material is thin but sturdy. I'd say some of the buttons might need to be reinforced as I noticed some have some loser thread. The material is only died on the outside and is white on the inside. This dress is true to size.

PERFECT and flattering fit. I posted a pic to help anyone around my same size. I’m 5’3 and 125 lbs and ordered a size small.The only thing I had to alter were the straps. They were about 2 inches too long (I have a short torso so anything with straps, I usually have to alter!)The material has a bit of stretch.The fabric is not see through.It zips in the back and the buttons on the front are sewn on/ fake. I love this bc I don’t have to worry about a button popping open (like hello there boobs).It’s hit or miss with this Belle Poque brand though. I ordered a skirt and the buttons were sewn on uneven and one side was longer than the other. So just be wary!

I bought this dress for my ”Shrimp on the Barbie” Halloween costume and it was perfect! The fabric is pretty good quality and the fit was great. I got a medium and I’m glad I did because I usually expect clothes like this from Amazon to run small. It has stretchy side panels so it can accommodate people who are between a medium and a large on top easily. The skirt was perfect with a crinoline I also bought on Amazon. The only reason for a 4 rating is the very top wasn’t cut as well as I would have liked and kind of puckered. I probably wouldn’t wear this for everyday life, but it was perfect for a costume. There are no pockets or lining but the fabric is not see-through.

It's a very lovely dress. I enjoy the fabric it isn't scratchy or feels cheap. The length is lovely, it's passed my knees so I'm not tripping on anything but I know everything is covered. I could have sized down but being the size I am I tend to go larger. I enjoy however the stretchy material on the sides as I know if I did get a size smaller that stretch gives it some room. Overall very good and I definitely plan to order another one!

It is a beautiful dress. The style and quality are good but mine didn't fit. I ordered a small and the shoulder straps and waist were loose. I am 5 ft and 120, I could have kept it and used a belt and taken in the shoulder straps but for the price, I felt I deserved a proper fit. I am not even sure I received a small because there was no size displayed on the tag of the dress. Maybe I was mistakenly sent a larger size.

I have bought several 1950s dresses off Amazon and returned most of them for quality issues. Belle poque as a brand in whole is fantastic. The dresses are true to size, the material is durable but not too heavy and doesn't come out of the package all wrinkled and requiring pressing.I wore this dress for my 1950s house wife themed bridal shower. It fit perfect, was comfortable and material had some stretch to it which made sizing that much easier, but also zippered if needed. My cardigan was also Belle Poque. I am 5"4 170lbs and a 36 DD bust I got the XL but probably could have went one size smaller. I am also wearing a crinoline skirt under the dress but wasn't necessarily needed.

I got this for a cruise bc it was tropical. It fit so well when the gowns I brought looked awful I decided to wear this for formal night. I dressed it up with a short jacket and pearls and it was very nice for photos. If I didn’t have this I would not have had anything to look respectable on formal night. You can count on this style dress for anything and especially since it is flattering to one’s figure. Grateful for this dress.
